कुरआन वह किताब है जिसे मुसलमान पढ़ते हैं। यह ईश्वर का वचन और अंतिम रहस्योद्घाटन है, जो लगभग 1400 वर्ष पहले अरबी भाषा में पैगंबर मुहम्मद ﷺ पर उतारा गया। इसका एक भी अक्षर न बदला गया है, न घटाया गया है, और न बढ़ाया गया है। कुरआन के अलग-अलग संस्करण नहीं हैं। इसी कारण, जो कुरआन चीन की एक मस्जिद में मिलता है, वही कुरआन दक्षिण अमेरिका की एक मस्जिद में पढ़ा जाता है। कुरआन तीन मूलभूत विषयों के इर्द-गिर्द केंद्रित है:

The Quran is the Book read by Muslims. It is the word of God and the final revelation; sent to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the Arabic language over 1400 years ago. Not a single letter has been altered, subtracted or added. There are not different versions of the Quran. For this reason, a Quran found in a mosque in China is the same Quran read in a mosque in South America. The Quran centers around three fundamental matters:

1. अल्लाह की एकता (तौहीद) और अक़ीदे से जुड़े मामलों का ज्ञान।

1. Knowledge about the Oneness of Allah, and affairs of doctrine.

2. भलाई का आदेश देना, और बुराई से रोकना।

2. Commands toward good, and prohibitions from evil.

3. सृष्टि से संबंधित ज्ञान, जिसमें नबियों और उनकी कौमों के क़िस्से, सृष्टि के आरंभ, और आख़िरत (परलोक) का ज्ञान शामिल है।

3. Knowledge about the creation, to include stories of the prophets and their nations, the beginning of creation, and the Afterlife.

कुरआन के अर्थ का अनेक भाषाओं में अनुवाद किया जा चुका है। सबसे उत्तम और सबसे व्यापक रूप से वितरित अंग्रेज़ी अनुवाद "The Noble Quran" है, जिसका अनुवाद डॉ. हिलाली और मुहसिन ख़ान ने किया है।
