El Islam exhorta a la humanidad a todas las cualidades de nobleza, honor y valores fundamentales que se han perdido en gran parte de la sociedad actual.

Islam enjoins upon mankind all traits of nobility, honor, and core values lost in much of today’s society.

❖ Honrar a los padres: «Sed buenos y obedientes con vuestros padres». (Corán, capítulo 6, versículo 151).

❖ Honoring the Parents: “Be good and dutiful to your parents.” (Quran, Chapter 6, Verse 151).

❖ Bondad hacia las mujeres: «Y convivid con ellas (las esposas) con bondad». (Corán, capítulo 4, versículo 19) El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ dijo: «El mejor de vosotros es quien mejor trata a su esposa».

❖ Kindness to Women: “And live with them (the wife) in kindness.” (Quran, Chapter 4, Verse 19) Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The best of you is the one who is best to his wife.”.

❖ Derechos de la mujer: El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ dijo: «Las mujeres son las mitades gemelas de los hombres; tienen derechos del mismo modo que los hombres tienen derechos.»

❖ Women’s Rights: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Women are the twin halves of men; they have rights just as men have rights.” .

❖ Diversidad en el Islam: El Islam considera la diversidad de las lenguas, etnias y razas de los seres humanos como un signo del poder del Creador; no como una fuente de división. «Y de Sus signos está la creación de los cielos y la tierra, y la diversidad de vuestras lenguas y de vuestros colores.» (Corán, capítulo 30, versículo 22).

❖ Diversity in Islam: Islam views the diversity of man’s languages, ethnicities, and races as a sign of the Creator’s power; not a source of division. “And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your languages and your colors.” (Quran, Chapter 30, Verse 22).

❖ Igualdad racial: La piedad es la cualidad que hace noble a una persona ante los ojos de Dios, no la raza ni el color de la piel. El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ dijo: «¡Oh, gente! Vuestro Señor es uno, y vuestro padre (Adán) es uno. No hay superioridad de un árabe sobre un no árabe, ni de un no árabe sobre un árabe, ni de una persona blanca sobre una negra, ni de una persona negra sobre una blanca, excepto por la piedad».

❖ Racial Equality: Piety is the quality that makes a person noble in the sight of God, not race or skin color. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “O mankind, indeed your Lord is One, and your fa ther (Adam) is one. There is no superiority for an Arab over a non Arab or for a non-Arab over an Arab, or for a white person over a black person or for a black person over a white person, except in terms of piety.”.

❖ Respeto a los ancianos: el Profeta Muhammad ﷺ

❖ Respect for the Elderly: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

«No es uno de nosotros quien no muestra misericordia a nuestros jóvenes ni respeta a nuestros ancianos.» ﷺ

said, “He is not one of us, those who do not show mercy to our youth and respect our elderly.”.

❖ Cuidado de la viuda: Profeta Muhammad ﷺ

❖ Caring for the Widow: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Dijo: «Quien se ocupa de una viuda y de un pobre es como quien ayuna todo el día y se pone en pie en oración toda la noche».ﷺ

said, “The one who looks after a widow and a poor person is like the one who fasts the entire day and stands in prayer the entire night.”.

❖ Bondad hacia los vecinos: El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ dijo: “Quien crea en Allah y en el Último Día, que no moleste a su vecino.” ❖ Bondad hacia los animales: El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ

❖ Kindness to Neighbors: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not an noy his neighbor.” ❖ Kindness to Animals: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

prohibió usar a los animales como sillas, golpearlos o marcarlos en la cara. El Islam permite la caza para alimentarse, mientras prohíbe utilizar a los animales como blanco de tiro por mero deporte.

forbade using animals as chairs, beating them, or branding them in the face. Islam allows hunting for food while forbidding us to use animals as target practice for mere sport.

❖ Equidad en los negocios: El Islam prohíbe acaparar alimentos o mercancías en tiempos de necesidad para luego cobrar al consumidor un precio abusivo. El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ dijo: «Quien acapara es un pecador».

❖ Fairness in Business: Islam forbids hoarding food or merchandise during times of distress then charging the consumer an inflated price. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever hoards is a sinner.”.

❖ Respeto a los muertos: El Islam prohíbe insultar a los difuntos. El Profeta Muhammad ﷺ dijo: «No injurien a los muertos, pues con ello dañan a los vivos».

❖ Respect for the Dead: Islam forbids insulting the dead. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Do not vilify the dead and by way of that harm the living.”.

El Islam exhorta a la veracidad, la limpieza, la humildad, la modestia, el cumplimiento de las promesas, la dignidad, la justicia, el valor, la contentación, la castidad, la paciencia, la gratitud y el dominio de uno mismo en los momentos de ira.

Islam enjoins truthfulness, cleanliness, humility, modesty, keeping promises, dignity, justice, courage, contentment, chastity, forbearance, gratitude, and self-control in times of anger.
