محمدی دعوت کو دو واضح طور پر الگ پہلوؤں میں تقسیم کیا جا سکتا ہے:

The Muhammadan Call could be divided into two phases distinctively demarcated:

۱۔ مکی دور: تقریباً تیرہ سال۔

1. The Makkan phase: nearly thirteen years.

۲۔ مدنی دور: پورے دس سال۔

2. The Madinese phase: fully ten years.

ان دونوں مراحل میں سے ہر ایک میں ایسی مخصوص خصوصیات شامل تھیں جنہیں ان میں سے ہر ایک کے حالات کا درست مشاہدہ کر کے آسانی سے پہچانا جا سکتا تھا۔

Each of the two phases included distinctive features easily discernible through accurate scrutiny into the circumstances that characterized each of them.

مکی دور کو تین مراحل میں تقسیم کیا جا سکتا ہے:

The Makkan phase can be divided into three stages:

۱۔ دعوتِ سری کا مرحلہ: تین سال۔

1. The stage of the secret Call: three years.

۲۔ مکہ میں دعوت کے اعلان کا مرحلہ: نبوت کے چوتھے سال کے آغاز سے لے کر تقریباً دسویں سال کے اختتام تک۔

2. The stage of the proclamation of the Call in Makkah: from the beginning of the fourth year of Prophethood to almost the end of the tenth year.

۳۔ دعوتِ اسلام اور مکہ سے باہر اس کی تبلیغ کا مرحلہ: یہ نبوت کے دسویں سال کے اختتام سے لے کر محمد ﷺ کی مدینہ کی طرف ہجرت تک جاری رہا۔

3. The stage of the call to Islam and propagating it beyond Makkah: it lasted from the end of tenth year of the Prophethood until Muhammad’s (Peace be upon him) emigration to Madinah.

مدنی دور پر بعد میں اپنے مقررہ وقت پر غور کیا جائے گا۔
