2.2.4 The Third Section: Alliance (or: Confederal Union) between the Muslims and the Jews
29- Los judíos compartirán los gastos con los creyentes cuando se encuentren en estado de guerra.
29- The Jews shall share in the spending with the believers when they are in a state of war.
30- Los judíos de Banu ‘Awf, sus aliados y ellos mismos, son una Ummah (comunidad) junto a los creyentes. Los judíos tienen su Deen (religión) y los creyentes tienen su Deen, excepto aquel que transgrede (comete injusticia) y comete un pecado (delito), pues solo se perjudicará a sí mismo y a su familia.
30- The Jews of the Banu ‘Awf, their allies and themselves, are an Ummah (collective) alongside the believers. The Jews have their Deen (religion) and the believers have their Deen, except for the one who transgresses (commits injustice) and commits a sin (crime), as he will only be hurting himself and his household.
31- Lo mismo se aplica a los judíos de Banu An-Najjar que a los judíos de Banu ‘Awf.
31- The same applies to the Jews of Banu An-Najjar that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
32- Lo mismo se aplica a los judíos de Banu Al-Harith que a los judíos de Banu ‘Awf.
32- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Al-Harith that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
33- Lo mismo se aplica a los judíos de Banu Sa'idah que a los judíos de Banu 'Awf.

36- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Tha’laba that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf, except for the one who transgresses (commits injustice) and commits a sin (crime), as he will only be hurting himself and his household.
- Los Jafnah son solo un clan de Tha‘labah, y por tanto son como ellos.
37- Jafnah are only a clan of Tha‘labah and hence they are like them.
38- Y lo mismo que se aplica a los judíos de Banu 'Awf se aplica a Banu Ash-Shatna.
38- And the same applies to Banu Ash-Shatna that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
- Se exige una conducta buena y recta, y no una conducta mala o delictiva (es decir, de parte de los firmantes de la Sahifa). Nadie gana nada salvo lo que se gana en contra de sí mismo.
39- Good and upright conduct is demanded and not bad or criminal conduct (i.e. from the parties of the Sahifa). No person earns anything except that he earns it against himself.
40- Los aliados de Tha'labah son como ellos.
40- The allies of Tha’labah are like them.
41- Y los amigos cercanos o íntimos de los judíos son como ellos.
41- And the close or intimate friends/associates of the Jews are like them.
