۱۔ میت کو غسل دینا

1. To give bath to the corpse

۲۔ اسے کفن دینا

3. اس کے لیے نماز ادا کرنا

3. To perform Salaah for it

۴۔ اسے دفن کرنا

4. To burry it

مندرجہ بالا اعمال فرض الکفایہ ہیں۔(2)

These above-mentioned acts are Fardh Al-Kifaayah.(2)

میت کو تین بار غسل دیں؛ پہلی بار بیری کے پتوں کے ساتھ، دوسری بار صرف پانی سے اور تیسری بار کافور کے ساتھ۔ میت کو کپڑے سے ڈھانپنا، اسے اونچی جگہ پر رکھنا اور تنہائی میں غسل دینا سنت ہے۔

Wash the corpse three time; fist time with berry leave, second time with water only and third time with camphor. It is Sunnah to cover the dead-body with cloth, put it on a high place and perform the Ghusl in privacy.

مرد کے جنازے کو تین کپڑوں میں اور عورت کے جنازے کو پانچ کپڑوں میں کفن دینا سنت ہے؛ یعنی ایک چادر، ایک پگڑی، ایک قمیض اور دو چادریں۔

It is Sunnah to shroud man’s corpse in three cloths and woman’s body in five cloths; lion-clothes, headband, shirt and two sheets.

۳۔ سورۃ الفاتحہ کی تلاوت کرنا

3. To recite Suratul Faatihah

۴۔ درود پڑھنا

5۔ تیسری تکبیر کے بعد میت کے لیے دعا کرنا

5. To make Du’aa for the deceased after the third Takbeer

6. اگر کوئی شخص قادر ہو تو نماز کھڑے ہو کر ادا کرے۔

6. To perform the Salaah in standing position, if one can

میت کو کم از کم ایسی قبر میں دفن کریں جو بو کو پھیلنے سے روک سکے اور جسم کو درندوں سے محفوظ رکھ سکے۔ میت کو اس طرح دفن کرنا واجب ہے کہ اس کا رخ قبلہ کی طرف ہو۔

Bury the corpse at least in a grave that can prevent odour from spreading around and protect the body from wild animals. It is Wajib-compulsory to bury the corpse in a manner that it is facing the direction of Qiblah.

میت کو ایسی قبر میں رکھیں جو قد اور لمبائی میں متوفی کے برابر ہو۔

Put the corpse in a grave which is equal to the demised both in height and length.

اس کے بعد چہرے سے کفن ہٹا دیں اور اسے قبلہ کی طرف اس طرح موڑ دیں کہ گال زمین پر ٹک جائے۔ پھر قبر کو بھوسے، مٹی یا تختے سے ڈھانپ دیں۔ جب تدفین مکمل ہو جائے، تو میت کی مغفرت کے لیے دعا کریں۔

Thereafter remove the shroud from the face and turn it towards Qiblah placing the cheek on the ground. Then cover the grave with straw, mud, or plank. When the burial is complete, make Du’aa for the forgiveness of deceased.

اگر بچہ حمل کے چھ ماہ مکمل ہونے سے پہلے پیدا ہو جائے، لیکن پیدائش کے وقت روئے یا بچہ حمل کے 120 دن گزرنے کے بعد پیدا ہو، تو بچے کو معمول کے طریقے کے مطابق دفن کیا جائے؛ بچے کو غسل دیا جائے، کفن پہنایا جائے اور نماز ادا کی جائے۔

If a child is born before completing six months of pregnancy, but it cries when it is born or the child is born after 120 days of pregnancy, the child should be buried through normal procedure; give Ghusl to the child, shroud the corpse and perform Salaah.
