Wait, the hadith text in the original is only the quoted phrase; I should translate faithfully without adding the unrelated wording.
4.3 The Hadith of Jabir bin Abdullah: “Every clan is responsible for (the payment of) its blood money”
- Imam Muslim related the following in his Sahih (2/1146/1507):

“Muhammad bin Rafi’ related from Abdur Razzaq, from Ibn Juraij, from Abu Az-Zubair who informed that he heard Jabir bin ‘Abdullah saying: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) wrote that every clan is responsible for the payment of its blood money. He then wrote: “That it is not permissible for a Muslim to take a Mawla of a Muslim as his ally without his permission”. He then informed that: That he cursed the one who did that in his Sahifah (document)”.
