5.3 The Prophets’ methodology for establishing the Islamic State
O Profeta ﷺ estabeleceu o primeiro Estado islâmico em Madinah, após o qual Abu Bakr (ra) tornou-se o Khaleefah, seguido por ‘Umar (ra), ‘Uthman e ‘Ali (ra). Este Khilafah continuou a existir ao longo dos treze séculos seguintes, até à sua destruição em 3 de março de 1924.
The Prophet (saw) established the first Islamic State in Madinah after which Abu Bakr (ra) became the Khaleefah followed by ‘Umar (ra), ‘Uthman and ‘Ali (ra). This Khilafah continued to exist throughout the next thirteen hundred years until its destruction on the 3rd of March 1924.
Portanto, o que se exige é derivar a metodologia a partir das fontes islâmicas disponíveis, que neste caso é a Sunnah do Profeta ﷺ, por meio da compreensão da Seerah do Profeta ﷺ sob uma perspectiva jurídica. Em seguida, deve-se emular as ações que ele ﷺ realizou no cumprimento de sua obrigação de assumir o modo de vida islâmico na prática.
Hence what is required is to derive the methodology from the Islamic sources that are available which in this instance is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) through understanding the Seerah of the Prophet (saw) from a legal perspective. Then to emulate those actions which he (saw) undertook as part of fulfilling his obligation in assuming the Islamic way of life in the practical sense.
