مطلب: ہمیں جسمانی بیماریوں کے ساتھ ساتھ دل کی بیماریوں سے بھی شفا عطا فرما۔ پس میرے بھائی، تمہیں چاہیے کہ جب تمہارا دل پوری طرح حاضر ہو تو یہ بات ذہن نشین کر لو کہ جب تم اللہ سے دعا مانگ رہے ہو، تو وہ تمہیں جسم کی بیماریوں اور دل کی بیماریوں، دونوں سے شفا دے گا۔ اور یہ بات سمجھنی چاہیے کہ دل کی بیماریاں جسمانی بیماریوں سے کہیں زیادہ بدتر ہیں۔ اسی وجہ سے کچھ لوگ دعا کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں، "اے اللہ، ہماری آزمائش ہمارے دین میں نہ کرنا۔" جسمانی بیماریاں اور امراض تو معروف ہیں، لیکن دل کی بیماریاں دو اہم طریقوں سے آتی ہیں:

Meaning: Heal us from the sicknesses of the heart as well as the physical sicknesses of the body. So my brother, you must bring to mind, while your heart is fully present, that while you are calling upon Allaah, He will heal you of both the diseases of the body and those of the heart. And it must be understood that the diseases of the heart are much worse than physical diseases. For this reason, some people say while making Du’aa, “O Allaah, do not make our tribulations in our religion.” The bodily diseases and sicknesses are well-known, yet the diseases of the heart come in two main ways:

۱۔ نفسانی خواہشات کی بیماریاں، اور ان کا آغاز انسان کی اپنی پسند اور ناپسند سے ہوتا ہے۔

1. Diseases of vain desires, and they originate from one’s personal likes and dislikes.

۲۔ شکوک و شبہات کی بیماریاں، اور ان کا آغاز جہالت سے ہوتا ہے۔

2. Diseases of doubts and uncertainties, and they originate from ignorance.

جہاں تک پہلی بات کا تعلق ہے، یعنی انسان کی اپنی خواہشات کی بیماریاں، تو وہ یہ ہے کہ ہو سکتا ہے کوئی شخص حق کو جانتا ہو، لیکن اپنی کچھ ذاتی پسندیدگیوں کی وجہ سے اس کی پیروی نہ کرنا چاہے، جو کہ اس چیز کے خلاف ہوں جس کے ساتھ نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے۔

As for the first, the diseases of one’s personal desires, is that a person may know the truth, yet may not want to follow it due to some personal preferences, which are contrary to what the Prophet (
) came with.

اور جہاں تک دوسری قسم کی بیماریوں کا تعلق ہے، یعنی جہالت کی وجہ سے پیدا ہونے والے شکوک و شبہات اور غلط توہمات، تو یہ اس وقت ہوتا ہے جب کوئی جاہل شخص یہ سمجھتے ہوئے کہ وہ درست کام کر رہا ہے، غلط اعمال انجام دیتا ہے۔ یہ بیماری انتہائی خطرناک ہے۔ لہٰذا آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دونوں سے شفا اور حفاظت کی دعا مانگیں، یعنی جسمانی بیماریوں سے اور دل کی بیماریوں سے، جو کہ شکوک و شبہات، غلط گمان اور نفسانی خواہشات کی بیماریاں ہیں۔

And as for the second type of diseases, that of doubts and false superstitions due to one’s ignorance, it is when an ignorant person does incorrect actions while assuming they are correct. This disease is extremely dangerous. So you ask Allaah for healing and immunities from both, the diseases of the body and of the heart, which are the sicknesses of doubts and false assumptions, and vain desires.
