انسانی نشوونما کے عمل میں اگلا مرحلہ 'قرارین مکین' ہے۔ لفظ 'قرار' کے معنی ہیں: ٹھہرنا، قائم کرنا، مقرر کرنا، طے کرنا، شرط رکھنا، نظم و ضبط قائم کرنا اور فیصلہ کرنا؛ اور اس کے مزید معنی ہیں: تصدیق کرنا، بنیاد رکھنا اور اثبات کرنا۔45 لفظ 'مکین' کے معانی میں شامل ہیں: جگہ دینا، مضبوطی سے رکھنا یا بٹھانا اور مقام پر فائز کرنا۔46 ان دونوں الفاظ کا مجموعہ درج ذیل مفاہیم کا حامل ہے: ایک محفوظ جگہ پر، ایک مضبوطی سے قائم جگہ پر، ایک محفوظ ٹھکانے پر اور ایک پختہ آرام گاہ میں۔

The next stage in the process of human development is qararin makin. The word qararin means to make sedentary, to establish, to assign, to schedule, to determine, to stipulate, to regulate and to decide; and it carries the further meanings of to confirm, to establish and to affirm.45 The word makin has meanings that include to place, to put/set down firmly and to put in position.46 The combination of these two words provide connotations of: in a safe place, in a place firmly fixed, in a safe lodging and in a firm resting place.

اس مرحلے پر قرآن میں استعمال ہونے والی اصطلاحات جدید ایمبریولوجی (علمِ جنین) کے عین مطابق ہیں۔ زائیگوٹ (مخلوق کا ابتدائی خلیہ) ایک بیرونی خول کے ساتھ خلیات کے ایک گولے میں تقسیم ہو جاتا ہے جس سے بلاسٹوسائسٹ (blastocyst) بنتی ہے۔ ایمبریولوجی کے مطالعہ اس بات کی تصدیق کرتے ہیں کہ بارآوری کے تقریباً چھٹے دن بلاسٹوسائسٹ رحم کی دیوار میں مضبوطی سے جڑ جاتی ہے۔ ایمبریولوجسٹ جان ایلن اور بیورلی کریمر عملِ جڑ پکڑنے (implantation) کی وضاحت یوں کرتے ہیں:

The terms used by the Qur’an at this stage coincide with modern embryology. The zygote divides into a ball of cells with an outer shell to form the blastocyst. Studies in embryology assert that around the 6th day after fertilization the blastocyst implants itself securely into the uterine wall. Embryologists John Allen and Beverley Kramer explain the process of implantation:

ایمپلینٹیشن (رحم میں پیوست ہونا) بارآوری کے تقریباً چھٹے یا ساتویں دن شروع ہوتی ہے۔ بلاسٹوسائسٹ کا وہ حصہ جو رحم کے غلاف (uterine cavity) کی طرف نکلا ہوتا ہے، نسبتاً پتلا رہتا ہے۔ سنٹروفوبلاسٹ میں ایک پروٹیکولیٹک انزائم (پروٹین توڑنے والا مادہ) ہوتا ہے جو اینڈومیٹریئم کے خلیات کو تباہ کر دیتا ہے تاکہ بلاسٹوسائسٹ رحم کے میموکا (mucosa) میں مزید گہرائی تک دھنستا چلا جائے۔۔۔ اینڈومیٹریئم میں ہونے والی آخری کمی کو خون یا فائبرن کے لوتھڑے سے بند کر دیا جاتا ہے، جو بلاسٹوسائسٹ کے اوپر ہوتا ہے۔ اس ڈھانپنے والی تہہ کو اوپرکولم (operculum) کہا جاتا ہے۔ بارآوری کے تقریباً 10 سے 12 دنوں کے بعد، بلاسٹوسائسٹ مکمل طور پر اینڈومیٹریئم میں گھِر جاتا ہے اور اس طرح، ایمپلینٹیشن مکمل ہو جاتی ہے۔47

Implantation begins at about the 6th to 7th day after fertilization. The part of the blastocyst projecting into the uterine cavity remains relatively thin. The syntrophoblast contains a proteolytic enzyme which causes destruction of the endometrial cells so that that the blastocyst sinks deeper and deeper into the uterine mucosa…The final deficiency in the endometrium is sealed off by a blood or fibrin clot, overlying the blastocyst. This cover is called the operculum. By about 10 to 12 days after fertilization, the blastocyst is completely encased in the endometrium and thus, implantation is complete.47

لفظ 'قرارٍ مکن' کا تجزیہ علمِ جنین (embryology) میں ہونے والی جدید پیش رفت کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ لفظ 'قرارٍ مکن' کے مجموعی معنی سے یہ ظاہر ہوتا ہے کہ بلاسٹوسائسٹ (blastocyst) 'مزید گہرائی' میں دھنستا چلا جاتا ہے اور 'فائبرن کلوٹ' (fibrin clot) کے ذریعے اینڈومیٹریم (endometrium) کا بند ہونا اس بات کو یقینی بناتا ہے کہ بلاسٹوسائسٹ 'مکمل طور پر گھرا ہوا' ہو جائے۔

The analysis of the words qararin makin, reflect modern developments in embryology. The meanings offered by the combination of the words qararin makin depict the blastocyst sinking ‘deeper and deeper’ and the sealing off of the endometrium with a ‘fibrin clot’ ensuring the blastocyst is ‘completely encased’.

قرارن لینے کا مرحلہ: بلاسٹوسائسٹ کا رحم کی اندرونی تہہ (endometrium) میں دھنسنا اور اس کے مکمل طور پر گھِر جانے کا عمل، یعنی امپلانٹیشن (implantation)۔
