Amnioblast: eine Zelle, die aus dem Ektoderm hervorgeht und die Wand der Amnionhöhle, also das Amnion, bildet.

Amnioblast: a cell derived from the ectoderm which forms the wall of the amniotic cavity, i.e. the amnion.

Amnionhöhle: die vom Amnion umgebene Höhle, gefüllt mit Fruchtwasser, das den Fötus umgibt.

Amniotic cavity: the cavity surrounded by the amnion, filled with amniotic fluid, surrounding the foetus.

Blastozyste: die hohle Zellkugel, die aus der Morula hervorgeht und aus der inneren Zellmasse und dem äußeren Trophoblasten besteht.

Blastocyst: the hollow sphere of cells derived from the morula consisting of the inner cell mass and outer trophoblast.

Knorpelplatte: die Wachstumsfuge in einem sich entwickelnden Röhrenknochen.

Cartiliginous plate: the growth plate in a developing long bone.

Chorion: die Membran, die den Fötus umgibt und aus Trophoblast und extraembryonalem Mesoderm besteht.

Chorion: the membrane that surrounds the foetus, consisting of trophoblast and extra-embryonic mesoderm.

Chorionzotten: die fingerförmigen Ausstülpungen des Chorions und Trophoblasten, die Blutgefäße enthalten und in den intervillösen Räumen von mütterlichem Blut umgeben sind.

Chorionic villi: the finger like protrusions of chorion and trophoblast which contain blood vessels, and are surrounded by maternal blood in the intervillous spaces.

Zytotrophoblast: der zelluläre Teil des Trophoblasten, im Unterschied zum Synzytiotrophoblasten.

Cytotrophoblast: the cellular part of the trophoblast, as distinguished from the syncytiotrophoblast.

Ektoderm: die äußere Keimblattschicht, aus der die Epidermis der Haut, das Nervensystem und die Sinnesorgane hervorgehen.

Ectoderm: the outer germ cell layer that gives rise to the epidermis of the skin, the nervous system and sense organs.

Endoderm: die innere Keimblattschicht, aus der die Auskleidung des Darmrohrs und die damit verbundenen Drüsenstrukturen hervorgehen.

Endoderm: the inner germ cell layer from which the lining of the gut tube and its associated glandular structures are derived.

Endometrium: die innere Schleimhaut der Gebärmutter, in der die Einnistung erfolgt.

Endometrium: the inner lining of the uterus in which implantation occurs.
