「天にも地にも、彼らがそこを通り過ぎながらも背を向けてしまう多くの印があるというのに。そして彼らの大半は、神に他の者を配しながらでなければ信じることはない。彼らは、神の懲罰である覆い隠す帳が自分たちに降りかかること、あるいは、彼らが気づかぬうちに突如として「時」が彼らに訪れることから、安心していられるのか。言え、「これが私の道である。私も私に従う者も、確かな知識をもって神へと人々を招く。神は栄光に満ち、崇高であられる。私は多神教徒ではない」と。 また、私が啓示を与えた、町に住む人々の中からの男たちを除いて、あなたより前に遣わしたことはない。彼らは地上を旅して、自分たちより前の者たちがどのような末路を辿ったかを見なかったのか。まことに、来世の住まいは、神を畏れ、神に従う者にとって最善のものである。あなたがたは理解しないのか。使徒たちが望みを失い、自分たちは偽りとされたと思ったとき、そのとき、我々の助けが彼らに届き、我々の望む者たちが救われた。我々の懲罰は、罪人たちの民から退けられることはない。まことに、これらの物語の中には、理解のある人々への教訓がある。それは作り話ではなく、それ以前にあったもの(啓典)を確証し、あらゆることを詳細に説明し、信じる人々にとっての導きであり慈悲である。」(TMQ アル＝ユースフ章、105〜111節)

“And how many a sign in the heavens and earth they pass by, while they are averse therefrom. And most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him. Do they feel secure from the ccoming against them of the covering veil of the Torment of Allah, or of the coming against them of the (Final) Hour, all of a sudden while they perceive not ? Say : This is my way; I invite unto Allah with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me. And Glorified and Exalted is Allah. And I am not of the Mushrikoon. And we sent before youany but men unto whom We revealed, from among the people of townships. Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those who were before them ? And verily, the home of the Hereafter is the best for those who fear Allah and obey Him Do you not then understand. When the Messengers gave up hope and thought that they were denied, then came to them Our Help, and whomsoever We willed were rescued. And Our punishment cannot be warded off from the people who are Mujrimoon. Indeed in these stories, there is a lesson for men of understanding. It is not a forged statement of which were before it and a detailed explanation of everything and a guide and a Mercy for the people who believe(TMQ al-Yusuf, verses 105-111)
