Cada disciplina do currículo escolar está dividida em unidades de ensino, sendo que cada unidade abrange uma porção definida da disciplina, passível de ser estudada como uma só unidade num período máximo de oitenta e três (83) dias, ou seja, num único curso. Especialistas supervisionam cada disciplina de estudo a fim de traçar e definir a porção da disciplina a ser estudada em cada período letivo e em cada etapa escolar. Da mesma forma, eles supervisionam a divisão da disciplina em unidades correspondentes à capacidade e à idade dos alunos. As unidades da disciplina avançam de forma sequencial até que toda a disciplina seja abrangida nas três etapas escolares, quer essa sequência vá do mais fácil ao mais complicado, como na Matemática e nas ciências empíricas, quer vá do geral aos detalhes e ramificações, como nas disciplinas da Seerah Profética e da História islâmica. Nas disciplinas científicas, como a Matemática, essas unidades começam com o sistema de contagem e a aritmética simples, como a adição e a subtração, avançando depois para a multiplicação e a divisão; em seguida, as frações e suas funções, seguidas da álgebra e das equações. Então, nas etapas avançadas, o aluno estuda os princípios das equações diferenciais e do Cálculo Integral, a Matemática Superior e assim por diante, até que todo o currículo adotado de Matemática seja abrangido nas etapas escolares.

Each school curriculum subject is divided into teaching units, with each unit covering a defined portion of the subject capable of study as one unit within a maximum period of eighty-three (83) days i.e. in one course. Experts supervise each study subject in order to draw and define (the portion of) the subject to be studied in each term and each school stage. Likewise, they supervise dividing the subject into units corresponding to student ability and age. Subject units graduate sequentially until the entire subject is covered in the three school stages whether this sequence is from the easier to the more complicated as in Mathematics and Empirical sciences, or from comprehensive to details and branches like as in the subjects of the Prophetic Seerah and Islamic History. In scientific subjects like Mathematics, these units commence with the system of counting and simple arithmetic like addition and subtraction, then graduating to multiplication and division; then fractions and their functions, followed by algebra and equations. Then, in advanced stages, the student studies the principles of differential equations and Integral Calculus, Higher Mathematics and so on until the entire adopted Mathematics curriculum is covered in the school stages.

O designer do currículo para as unidades de ensino específicas deve garantir que a matéria esteja em conformidade com a idade dos alunos, e dividir a matéria destinada ao estudo em todas as etapas em no máximo 36 unidades, sendo cada unidade em um livro que traz o número do curso em que será estudada. O número de unidades de ensino pode ser inferior a 36 para as disciplinas lecionadas em períodos posteriores, por exemplo, física. Por exemplo, a química no ramo científico é composta por 12 unidades; os alunos podem começar a primeira unidade no 25º período e avançar até o 36º período do ramo científico da etapa escolar, enquanto a disciplina de conhecimentos gerais, que é composta por 12 unidades, pode começar no 13º período e terminar no 24º período.

This requires the curriculum designer for specific teaching units to ensure that the subject conforms to student age, and to divide the subject intended for study in all stages into a maximum of 36 units, each unit in a book bearing the number of the course it will be studied in. The number of teaching units could be less than 36 for the subjects taught in later term e.g. physics. For instance, chemistry in the scientific branch is composed of 12 units; the students may commence the first unit in the 25th term and move onwards until the 36th term of the scientific branch of the school stage, whereas the general knowledge subject which is composed of 12 units, can commence in the 13th term and end in the 24th term.

O livro traz o número da unidade, bem como o número do curso a ser estudado. Assim, no 25º período, por exemplo, o estudante estuda Matemática, unidade 25/25; Princípios (qawa'id), unidade 13/25; Conhecimento Geral, 12/25; Eloquência (Balagha), unidade 6/25, etc.

The book bears the unit number as well as the course number to be studied in. So in the 25th term, for instance, the student studies Mathematics unit 25/25, Principles (qawa’id) unit 13/25, General Knowledge 12/25, Eloquence (Balagha) unit 6/25 etc.
