O tema de refutar o método do pensamento ocidental é o tema de como o Ocidente gera pensamentos, independentemente de quais sejam esses pensamentos. Isso inclui o tema de como e de onde o Ocidente deriva o seu pensamento, ou seja, inclui o tema do método adotado para chegar a qualquer conhecimento. Inclui também a fonte e a dependência do pensamento. Como esclarecido anteriormente, o Ocidente apresenta-se como pioneiro dos métodos racionais e científicos. Assim, o seu método de pensamento baseia-se nestes dois elementos: o Racionalismo e a Ciência.
