এটা সুবিদিত যে, আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ) সবচেয়ে বেশি সংখ্যক হাদীস বর্ণনা করেছেন, এবং সেগুলো লিপিবদ্ধও করা হয়েছিল। ইমাম ইবনু আব্দিল বার্র হাসান ইবনু আমর-এর সূত্রে বর্ণনা করেন, তিনি বলেন:

It is known that Abu Huraira recorded the largest collection of Ahadith, which was also documented. Imam Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr narrates on the authority of Hasan ibn ‘Amr, who says:

আমি আবূ হুরায়রাকে একটি হাদীস বর্ণনা করলাম, কিন্তু তিনি তা প্রত্যাখ্যান করলেন। আমি বললাম, "আমি এই হাদীসটি আপনার কাছ থেকেই শুনেছি।"

I narrated a hadīth to Abñ Huraira but he rejected it. I said, “I have heard this hadīth from you.”.

তিনি বললেন, “তুমি যদি এই হাদীস আমার কাছ থেকে শুনে থাকো, তবে আমাকে অবশ্যই তা লিখিয়ে নিতে হবে।” তিনি আমার হাত ধরে আমাকে তাঁর ঘরে নিয়ে গেলেন। তিনি আমাকে তাঁর বইয়ের সংগ্রহ দেখালেন, যেগুলোতে নবী ﷺ থেকে বর্ণিত তাঁর হাদীসসমূহ ছিল। তিনি সেই বইগুলোর মধ্যে আমার বর্ণিত হাদীসটি খুঁজে পেলেন। এরপর আবূ হুরায়রা আমাকে বললেন, .

He said, “If you have heard this hadīth from me, then I must have it written down.” He held my hand and took me to his room. He showed me his library of books that comprised of his narrations from the Blessed Prophet (PBUH). He found the hadīth I had narrated in the books. After that, Abñ Huraira said to me, .

“আমি কি তোমাদের বলিনি যে আমি যদি তোমাদের কাছে কোনো হাদীস বর্ণনা করি, তবে আমার জন্য তা লিখে রাখা অপরিহার্য?”35.

“Did I not tell you that if I narrated any hadīth to you I must have it written down?”35.

হাফিয ইবনে হাজার তাঁর গ্রন্থ ফাতহুল বারীতে এই হাদীসটি অন্য একটি সনদসহ বর্ণনা করেছেন। এই ঘটনা প্রমাণ করে যে আবু হুরায়রা (রা.) কেবল কয়েকটি হাদীস লিপিবদ্ধ করেননি, বরং তাঁর যে হাদীসসমূহ পরবর্তীতে তাঁর হাদীস গ্রন্থসমূহের ভান্ডার হয়ে ওঠে, সেগুলোর সবই তিনি লিপিবদ্ধ করেছিলেন।

Hafiz ibn Hajar has also narrated this hadīth in his book, Fatú al- Bari, with another chain. This incident proves that Abu Huraira did not document only a few aúódõth, but in fact all the ahadith which eventually became his store of hadīth books.

তবে সংরক্ষণের এই পদ্ধতি এখানেই থেমে থাকেনি। এমনকি তাঁর ছাত্ররাও তাঁর কাছ থেকে শোনা আহাদিস লিখে রাখতেন। বাশীর ইবনু নুহাইক নামের একজন ছাত্র লিখেছেন:

However this method of preservation does not stop here. Even his students wrote the aúódõth they heard from him. One student named Bashir ibn Nuhaiq wrote:

আমি আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ)-এর কাছ থেকে যে হাদীসগুলো শুনেছিলাম, তা লিখে রেখেছিলাম। যখন আমি চলে যাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম, তখন তাঁর পাশে বসে তাঁর বর্ণিত সব হাদীস পড়ে শোনালাম। এরপর জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, "এগুলোই কি সব হাদীস, যা আপনি আমার কাছে বর্ণনা করেছেন?"

I wrote down whatever aúódõth I heard from Abu Huraira. When I decided to leave, I read all the aúódõth he narrated to me by his side. Then I asked, “Are these all the aúódõth you narrated to me?”.

তিনি বললেন, “হ্যাঁ।”36

He replied, “Yes.”36
