2.2.4 The Third Section: Alliance (or: Confederal Union) between the Muslims and the Jews
29 – Die Juden sollen sich mit den Gläubigen in die Ausgaben teilen, wenn sie sich im Kriegszustand befinden.
29- The Jews shall share in the spending with the believers when they are in a state of war.
30- Die Juden der Banu ʿAwf, ihre Verbündeten und sie selbst bilden eine Ummah (Gemeinschaft) zusammen mit den Gläubigen. Die Juden haben ihre Dīn (Religion), und die Gläubigen haben ihre Dīn, außer demjenigen, der frevelt (Unrecht begeht) und eine Sünde (ein Verbrechen) begeht, denn er schadet nur sich selbst und seinem Haushalt.
30- The Jews of the Banu ‘Awf, their allies and themselves, are an Ummah (collective) alongside the believers. The Jews have their Deen (religion) and the believers have their Deen, except for the one who transgresses (commits injustice) and commits a sin (crime), as he will only be hurting himself and his household.
31- Dasselbe gilt für die Juden der Banu An-Najjar, das gleiche wie für die Juden der Banu ʿAwf.
31- The same applies to the Jews of Banu An-Najjar that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
32- Dasselbe gilt für die Juden der Banu Al-Harith, das gleiche wie für die Juden der Banu 'Awf.
32- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Al-Harith that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
Das Gleiche gilt für die Juden der Banu Sa'idah, wie für die Juden der Banu 'Awf.

34 – Für die Juden der Banu Jusham gilt dasselbe, was für die Juden der Banu ʿAuf gilt.

36 – Für die Juden der Banū Tha'laba gilt dasselbe wie für die Juden der Banū 'Awf, mit der Ausnahme dessen, der Unrecht begeht und eine Sünde (Verbrechen) verübt, denn er schadet nur sich selbst und seinem Haushalt.
36- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Tha’laba that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf, except for the one who transgresses (commits injustice) and commits a sin (crime), as he will only be hurting himself and his household.
37- Die Jafnah sind lediglich ein Stamm der Tha‘labah und gehören daher zu ihnen.
37- Jafnah are only a clan of Tha‘labah and hence they are like them.
38- Und dasselbe gilt für die Banu Asch-Schatna, was auch für die Juden der Banu 'Awf gilt.
38- And the same applies to Banu Ash-Shatna that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
– Gutes und rechtschaffenes Verhalten wird gefordert, und nicht schlechtes oder kriminelles Verhalten (d. h. seitens der Parteien der Sahifa). Keine Person erwirbt etwas, außer dass sie es gegen sich selbst erwirbt.
39- Good and upright conduct is demanded and not bad or criminal conduct (i.e. from the parties of the Sahifa). No person earns anything except that he earns it against himself.
40 – Die Verbündeten von Tha’labah sind wie sie.
40- The allies of Tha’labah are like them.
41- Und die engen oder vertrauten Freunde bzw. Gefährten der Juden sind wie sie.
41- And the close or intimate friends/associates of the Jews are like them.
