2.2.4 The Third Section: Alliance (or: Confederal Union) between the Muslims and the Jews
29- Os judeus devem compartilhar as despesas com os crentes quando estiverem em estado de guerra.
29- The Jews shall share in the spending with the believers when they are in a state of war.
30- Os judeus dos Banu 'Awf, seus aliados e eles mesmos, formam uma Ummah (comunidade) junto com os crentes. Os judeus têm a sua religião (Deen) e os crentes têm a sua religião, exceto aquele que transgride (comete injustiça) e comete um pecado (crime), pois ele só estará prejudicando a si mesmo e à sua família.
30- The Jews of the Banu ‘Awf, their allies and themselves, are an Ummah (collective) alongside the believers. The Jews have their Deen (religion) and the believers have their Deen, except for the one who transgresses (commits injustice) and commits a sin (crime), as he will only be hurting himself and his household.
31- O mesmo se aplica aos judeus de Banu An-Najjar que se aplica aos judeus de Banu ‘Awf.
31- The same applies to the Jews of Banu An-Najjar that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
32- O mesmo se aplica aos judeus de Banu Al-Harith que se aplica aos judeus de Banu ‘Awf.
32- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Al-Harith that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
33- O mesmo se aplica aos judeus de Banu Sa’idah que se aplica aos judeus de Banu ‘Awf.
33- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Sa’idah that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
34- O mesmo se aplica aos judeus de Banu Jusham que se aplica aos judeus de Banu ‘Awf.

36- The same applies to the Jews of Banu Tha’laba that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf, except for the one who transgresses (commits injustice) and commits a sin (crime), as he will only be hurting himself and his household.
- Os Jafnah são apenas um clã dos Tha‘labah e, portanto, são como eles.
37- Jafnah are only a clan of Tha‘labah and hence they are like them.
38- E o mesmo se aplica aos Banu Ash-Shatna, o que se aplica aos judeus de Banu ‘Awf.
38- And the same applies to Banu Ash-Shatna that applies to the Jews of Banu ‘Awf.
- Exige-se boa e reta conduta, e não má conduta ou conduta criminosa (ou seja, por parte dos signatários da Sahifa). Ninguém ganha nada senão aquilo que ganha contra si mesmo.
39- Good and upright conduct is demanded and not bad or criminal conduct (i.e. from the parties of the Sahifa). No person earns anything except that he earns it against himself.
40- Os aliados de Tha'labah são como eles.
40- The allies of Tha’labah are like them.
41- E os amigos ou companheiros íntimos dos judeus são como eles.
41- And the close or intimate friends/associates of the Jews are like them.
