アッラー、全能なるお方はこう仰せられる。

Allah the Almighty says:

{まことに、カールーン(コラcurrency)はムーサー(モーセ)の民の一人であったが、彼らに対して高慢に振る舞った。われらは彼に、その鍵を運ぶだけでも力の強い一団が重荷に感じるほどの宝を与えた。そのとき彼の民が彼に言った。「喜びに溺れてはならない(富によって驕り、アッラーに感謝しないことのないように)。まことにアッラーは、喜びに溺れる者(富によって驕り、アッラーに感謝しない者)を愛されない。しかし、その(富)をもって}

{Verily, Qarun (Korah) was of Musa's (Moses) people, but he behaved arrogantly towards them. And We gave him of the treasures, that of which the keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men. Remember when his people said to him: "Do not exult (with riches, being ungrateful to Allah). Verily Allah likes not those who exult (with riches, being ungrateful to Allah). "But seek with that (wealth)

「アッラーがあなたに授けられたものによって、来世の住まいを求めなさい。そして、この世における己の分の合法的な楽しみを忘れてはならない。また、アッラーがあなたに善をなされたように、あなたも善を行いなさい。地上に腐敗を求めてはならない。まことに、アッラーは腐敗を行う者（大罪や罪を犯す者、圧制者、暴君、混乱を引き起こす者、堕落させる者）を好まれない」。彼は言った。「これは、私が持っている知識のゆえにのみ与えられたのだ」。彼は、自分より以前にアッラーが滅ぼした諸世代、すなわち力において彼より強く、蓄えた（財産の）量において彼より多い人々があったことを知らなかったのか。しかし、ムジュリム（罪人、不信仰者、多神教者、罪を犯す者）は、その罪について問いただされることはない（アッラーは彼らをよくご存じであり、説明を求められることなく罰せられるからである）。こうして彼は、己の華美な装いをして民の前に出て行った。この世の生活を望んでいた者たちは言った。「ああ、カールーン（コラ）が与えられたもののようなものが、我々にもあればよいのに。まことに彼は大いなる財産の持ち主だ」。しかし、（宗教的な）知識を与えられていた者たちは言った。

which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of lawful enjoyment in this world,' and do good as Allah has been good to you, and seek not mischief in the land. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupters)." He said: "This has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? But the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) will not be questioned of their sins (because Allah knows them well, so they will be punished without being called to account). So he went forth before his people in his pomp. Those who were desirous of the life of the world, said: "Ah, would that we had the like of what Qarun (Korah) has been given! Verily he is the owner of a great fortune." But those who had been given (religious) knowledge said:

あなたに災いあれ！信じて正しい善行をする者にとって、アッラーの報奨（来世における）はより良いものです。そして、これを得られるのは、「アッ・サービルーン」（真理に従うことにおいて忍耐強い者）だけです。

"Woe to you! The Reward of Allah (in the Hereafter) is better for those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and this none shall attain except those who are AsSabirun (the patient in following the truth).

「そこで、我らは彼と彼の住まいを大地に呑み込ませた。それから彼には、アッラーに対抗して彼を助ける集団も党派もなく、彼自身も自ら身を守ることのできる者ではなかった。昨日まで彼の地位を望んでいた者たちは、こう言い始めた。「アッラーが、ご自身の僕の中から望む者に対して糧を豊かに与え、また制限されるのだとは、お前たちは知らないのか。もしアッラーが我々に御恵みをお授けにならなかったなら、我々をも大地に呑み込ませられたであろうに。不信仰者が成功することは決してないと、お前たちは知らないのか。」あの来世の住まい（すなわち楽園）は、地上で高慢と圧制によって真理に逆らわず、また悪事を働いて腐敗をもたらすこともない者たちのために、我らが定めるものである。そして善い結末は、ムッタキーン（畏れを抱き正しく生きる者たち）のものである。」（アル＝カサス章、76～83節）

"So We caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place. Then he had no group or party to help him against Allah, nor was he one of those who could save themselves. And those who had desired (for a position like) his position the day before, began to say: "Know you not that it is Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it to whomsoever He pleases of His slaves. Had it not been that Allah was Gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up (also)! Know you not that the disbelievers will never be successful." That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqun (the pious and righteous persons)}. (Al-Qasas, 76-83)

イブン・アッバース(彼にアッラーの御満悦がありますように)は、カールーン(コーラン)がムーサー(彼に平安あれ)の父方の従兄弟であったという見解を持っていた。この見解は、他の多くの伝承者によって支持されている。その中にはイブン・ジュライジがおり、彼はカールーンをカハスの子ヤシャルの子カールーンであるとし、一方でムーサーはイムランの子ハーフィスの子であったと付け加えている。イブン・ジュライジはさらに進んで、カールーンがムーサーの父方の叔父であったとするイブン・イスハークの見解を退けた。

Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) held the opinion that Qarun (Koran) was a paternal cousin to Musa (Peace be upon him). This view is supported by many other narrators, including Ibn Juraij who added that he is Qarun Ibn Yashar Ibn Qahith, while Musa was the son of `Imran Ibn Hafith. Ibn Juraij went further and rejected the viewpoint of Ibn Ishaq that he was a paternal uncle to Musa (Peace be upon him).

カターダはこう言った。「彼は『アン＝ヌール（光）』と呼ばれた。というのも、タウラー（トーラー）を朗誦する際に美しい声をしていたからである。しかし、サーミリーが偽信者となったのと同じように、彼もまた偽信者となった。こうして、カールーンは、その持っていた富と財産のゆえに、その驕りによって滅ぼされたのである。」

Qatadah said: He was called "An-Nur" (the light) for he had a melodious voice while reciting the Torah (Taurat), but he became a hypocrite just like As-Samiri who became a hypocrite too. Thus, Qarun was destroyed because of his transgression due to the wealth and riches he had.

シャフル・イブン・ハウシャブは言った。「彼は高慢と傲慢(うぬぼれ)から、自分の衣を引きずった。」

Shahr Ibn Haushab said: he dragged his garment out of pride and arrogance (conceit).

アッラー、全能なるお方は、彼の富と財宝の多さについて言及されました。その鍵は、屈強な男たちの一団にとっても重荷となるほどであったと。また、その鍵は革製であり、六十頭のラバに積んで運ばれていたとも言われています。アッラーこそが最もよくご存じです。しかしながら、彼は民の中の信心深い人々から次のように諭されました。

Allah the Almighty mentioned the numerousness of his wealth and riches so that its keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men. It was also said: the keys were made of leather and that they used to be carried on sixty mules. Allah knows best! However, he was advised by the godly men from among his people saying:

{Do not exult} つまり、富を得て高慢になったり得意になったりして、偉大なるアッラーに感謝しないことはしてはならない。{まことに、アッラーは(富に酔い、アッラーに感謝しない)高慢な者を愛されない。「だが、その(富の)中で}

{Do not exult} i.e. do not be arrogant or conceited with riches, being ungrateful to Allah the Almighty. {Verily Allah likes not those who exult (with riches, being ungrateful to Allah). "But seek with that (wealth)

「アッラーがあなたに授けてくださったものによって、来世の住処を求めなさい」と彼らは勧めました。すなわち、来世での報奨こそ最善の報奨であるから、そのためにこそ努力を向けるように、というのです。しかし、{この世からの合法的な享楽の分け前を忘れてはならない}、すなわち、あなたの財産によって、許された物を取り、現世において許された喜びを得られる限り得なさい、ということです。また、{アッラーがあなたに善をなされたように、あなたも善をなしなさい}、すなわち、あなたに善をなしてくださったアッラーの被造物に善を行いなさい、ということです。{地上で腐敗を求めてはならない}、すなわち、善を行うよう命じられた人々に害を与えてはならない、ということです。もし彼らに害を与えれば、アッラーは罰を下し、授けられたものを取り上げられるでしょう。{まことに、アッラーは腐敗を行う者（大罪や罪を犯す者、不正を行う者、暴君、害悪をなす者、腐敗を広める者）を好まれない}。彼の民のこの善き忠告に対する彼の答えは、ただ次のようなものでした。

which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter} they advise him to direct his endeavors to gain Allah's Reward in the Hereafter as it is the best of all rewards. But, {and forget not your portion of lawful enjoyment in this world}, i.e. take thereof with your money what is made lawful to you and have the possible lawful joys of this present life. And {do good as Allah has been good to you}, i.e. do good to the creation of Allah Who has been good to you. And {seek not mischief in the land}, i.e. do not harm the people regarding whom you were commanded to do good. If you harm them, He will punish you and take back what He has granted you {Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupters)}. His answer to this good advice of his people was nothing but:

{彼は言った。「これは私が持っている知識のゆえにのみ与えられたのだ」}、すなわち、あなたが言ったこと、または指摘したことは私には必要ない。アッラーは私がそれにふさわしく、本当に資格があると知っておられたからこそ、これを私にお与えになったのである。

{He said: This has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess}, i.e. I do not need what you have said or referred to, as Allah only gave me this for He knew that I deserve it and I am really qualified thereto.

さらに、もし神が私を愛しておられなければ、このようなものをお与えになることはなかったでしょう。

Moreover, were it not for that He loves me, He would not grant or give me this.

しかし、全能のアッラーは彼の言葉を退けて、こう仰せられた。{彼は、自分より前に、力において彼より強く、蓄財において彼より多くの世代をアッラーが滅ぼされたことを知らなかったのか。だが、ムジュリム(罪人、不信仰者、多神教徒、罪深い者)は、その罪について問われることはない(アッラーは彼らをよくご存じなので、説明責任を問われることなく罰せられる)}。すなわち、我々は彼らの罪と悪行のために、彼より前の世代を滅ぼした。彼らはカールーンより強く、彼より多くの富と子を持っていたのである。したがって、彼の言葉が真実であったなら、彼より多くの富を持つ者を罰することはなく、彼の富と財産は、我々の愛や配慮の証拠とはならなかったはずである。全能のアッラーは仰せられる。{あなたがたの財産や子どもが、あなたがたを我々に近づけるのではない。(すなわち、アッラーを喜ばせるのは)ただ、信仰し(イスラームの一神教を信じ)、正しい行いをする者だけである。そのような者には、行った善の二倍の報奨があり、平安と安全のうちに高殿(楽園)に住むであろう}(サバア、37)。また、こうも仰せられる。{彼らは、我々が富と子で彼らを増やし、善いものを急いで与えていると考えているのか。いや、(それは現世の生活における試練であり、来世においては善いものの分け前を持たない)のだが、彼らは悟らないのだ}(ムゥミヌーン、55、56)。カールーンの主張に対するアッラーの答えは、「これは私が持っている知識のゆえに私に与えられたのだ」という彼の言葉について我々が行った解釈を裏付けている。しかし、彼が化学者であった、あるいは全能のアッラーの最も偉大な御名を知っていて、それを用いて富を集めたのだと主張した者たちについては、これらはすべて誤りであり、真実ではない。化学が物事の実体を変えることはできず、最も偉大な御名も不信仰者が唱えれば効力はないのである。そして、カールーンは本質的に不信仰者であり、表面上は偽信者であった。 さらに、彼の民が与えた助言とそれに対する彼の答えは、その主張を裏付けるものではありません。

However, Allah the Almighty refuted his statement saying: {Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him generations, men who were stronger than him in might and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? But the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) will not be questioned of their sins (because Allah knows them well, so they will be punished without being called to account)}, i.e. We have destroyed before him generations because of their sins and bad deeds and that they were stronger than Qarun and they had more riches and children than him. So, if what he said was true, We would not punish anyone of those who had more riches than him and his wealth and riches would not be a proof of Our love or care for him. Allah the Almighty says: {And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us (i.e. please Allah), but only he who believes (in the Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds (will please Us),. as for such, there will be twofold reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings Paradise) in peace and security}. (Saba', 37) and, He says: {Do they think that in wealth and children with which We enlarge them. We hasten unto them with good things. Nay, [it is a Fitnah (trial) in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter] but they perceive not}. (Al-Mu'minun, 55,56). Allah's answer to Qarun's claims confirms our interpretation of his saying, {This has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess}. But as for those who claimed that he was a chemist or that he knew the Greatest Name of Allah the Almighty and that he used it to collect wealth, all these are fallacies and not true. For chemistry cannot change the reality of something, and the Greatest Name is of no effect if it is pronounced by a disbeliever. And, Qarun was inherently a disbeliever and apparently a hypocrite. Moreover, the context of the advice given by his people and his answer to them do not support that claim.

アッラーはこう仰せられる。「そこで彼は、飾り立てて民の前に出て行った」(これは以下の箇所で示される)。多くの注釈者が述べているように、彼は大きな贅沢(従者、衣服、乗用の動物)を伴って民の前に進み出た。この世の生活を望んでいた者たちが彼を見たとき、同じものを手に入れたいと願い、「なんと大きな幸運を得ているのだろう!」と言った。その言葉が敬虔で正しい人々の耳に届くと、彼らは言った。「あなたがたに災いあれ! 信仰して正しい善行をなす者にとっては、アッラーの報奨の方が優れている」。すなわち、来世におけるアッラーの報奨は、これよりもはるかに優れ、高いものである。

Almighty Allah says: {So he went forth before his people in his pomp}, many interpreters mentioned that he went forth before his people in great luxuries (servants, clothes and riding animals). When those who were desirous of the life of the world saw him, they wished to have the same and wondered "what a great fortune he has!" When their saying reached the ears of the godly righteous men they said to them: {Woe to you! The Reward of Allah is better for those who believe and do righteous good deeds}, i.e. the Reward of Allah in the Hereafter is better and higher than this.

アッラーは仰せられる。{そして、これは「アッ＝サービルーン」（真理に従うことにおいて忍耐強い者たち）以外には得られない}。すなわち、この助言、言葉、そして現世の喜びがある中での来世に関する高い志は、導かれた者、そしてアッラー（全能にして偉大なる御方）の恩恵によって心が定まり、思考が安定した者以外には得られない、ということである。

Almighty Allah says: {and this none shall attain except those who are As-Sabirun (the patient in following the truth)}, i.e. this -advice, saying and high determination regarding the Hereafter in presence of the joys of this present life -none shall attain except those who were guided and those whose hearts were fixed and minds made stable by the Grace of Allah the Almighty.

そして、私たちの先人の学者の一人が言った次の言葉に勝るものはありません。

And, nothing is better than the saying of some of our earlier scholars who said:

「まことに、アッラーは、疑わしい事柄に際しての洞察力と、欲望が現れたときの完全な理性を愛される」

"Verily, Allah loves penetrative insight in time of suspicious matters and perfect reasoning in time of the presence of lusts" .

アッラーは全能なるお方がこう仰せられています。{それで我らは彼とその住居を地中に呑み込ませた。そして彼には、アッラーに対して彼を助ける集団もなく、また彼自身も救われる者ではなかった}。アッラーが彼がその華美な様子で出て行ったことに言及されたとき、「それで我らは彼とその住居を地中に呑み込ませた」と仰せられました。イマーム・アル＝ブハーリーによって伝えられたところによれば、アッラーの預言者ﷺはこう仰いました。「ある男が二枚重ねの衣をまとい、髪を念入りに整えて自惚れながら歩いていたところ、アッラーは彼を突然地中に沈ませた。彼は審判の日まで地中に沈み続けるであろう」。（サヒーフ・アル＝ブハーリー）

Allah the Almighty says: {So, We caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place. Then, he had no group or party to help him against Allah, nor was he one of those who could save themselves}, when Allah the Almighty mentioned his setting forth in his pomp, He said {So, We caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place}. As transmitted by Imam Al-Bukhari, Allah's Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: "While a man was walking, clad in a two-piece garment and proud of himself with his hair well-combed, suddenly Allah made him sink into the earth and he will go on sinking into it till the Day of Resurrection. " (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

イブン・アッバース(アッラーがお喜びになりますように)とアス＝サディーが伝えるところによれば、カールーンは一人の娼婦に金銭を与え、ムーサー(彼の上に平安あれ)に(嘘を)言うよう頼んだ。

Narrated Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) and As-Sadiy that Qarun gave a prostitute a sum of money to say to Musa (Peace be upon him)

他が他の人々と一緒にいる間に、彼（ムーサー）は彼女と（姦通を）犯した。そして彼女がそれを行ったと言われており、その結果、ムーサー（彼の上に平安あれ）

while he is accompanied with other people that he (Musa) committed with her (adultery). It is said that she did it and consequently, Musa (Peace be upon him)

彼は恐怖に震え、二ラカート(お辞儀を伴う礼拝)を行い、そしてその女性に言った。「アッラーに誓って言う。誰がお前にこれをするよう雇ったのか、言いなさい。」彼女は言った。「カールーンが、それをするようにと私を雇ったのです。」その後、彼女はアッラーの赦しを求め、アッラーに悔悟した。するとムーサー(彼に平安あれ)はひれ伏し、カールーンに対してアッラーに祈願した。全能のアッラーは彼に啓示され、大地を彼に従うよう服従させたと告げられた。ムーサー(彼に平安あれ)は大地に、カールーンとその住居を呑み込むよう命じた。すると、そのとおりになった。アッラーは最もよくご存じである。また、こうも言われている。カールーンが華麗な装いで民の前に出て行ったとき:

trembled with fear and he performed two Rak`ahs (bowing in prayer) and then said to her: By Allah! Tell me, who hired you to do this? She said: It was Qarun who hired me to do that. Then, she sought Allah's Forgiveness and repented to Him. Upon that, he (Musa (Peace be upon him)) prostrated himself and invoked Allah against Qarun. Allah the Almighty revealed to him that He subjugated the earth to obey him. Musa (Peace be upon him) commanded the earth to swallow Qarun and his dwelling place. And it was! Allah knows best! It was also said: That when Qarun went forth before his people in his pomp:

護衛、ラバ、衣服について。彼はムーサー(彼の上に平安あれ)のそばを通りかかった。そのとき彼は人々にアッラーを思い起こさせていた。人々が彼を見ると、そのほとんどの顔が彼の方へ向いた。ムーサー(彼の上に平安あれ)は彼を呼んで言った。

guards, mules and clothes, he passed by Musa (Peace be upon him) while he was reminding the people of Allah. When the people saw him, the faces of most of them turned towards him. Musa (Peace be upon him) called him and said:

カールーンは答えて言った。「ムーサーよ、あなたは預言者の地位を与えられ、私は富を与えられた。もしお望みなら、あなたが出て行ってアッラーに私を呪ってください。私もあなたを呪いましょう」。そこで二人は出て行き、ムーサー(彼に平安あれ)は言った。「あなたから始めますか」。カールーンは「はい」と言い、呪いの言葉を唱えたが、それは聞き入れられなかった。ムーサー(彼に平安あれ)がアッラーに対してカールーンを呪い、「おおアッラーよ、今日、大地に彼らを踏み越えさせてください」と言うと、アッラーは大地に命じてそうさせると啓示された。そこで彼は言った。「おお大地よ、彼らを捕らえよ」。すると大地は彼らの足首まで飲み込んだ。さらに彼は言った。「捕らえよ」。すると大地は膝まで飲み込んだ。さらに「捕らえよ」と言うと、大地は肩まで飲み込んだ。さらに彼は言った。「おお大地よ、彼らの財宝と宝物を運び出せ」。それらは彼らの目の前に運ばれてきた。そこでムーサー(彼に平安あれ)は手で指し示して言った。「行け、ラウィーの子らよ」。すると彼らは大地に沈んでいった。

Why do you do this? Qarun replied saying: O Musa! You have been favored with Prophethood and I have been favored with riches. If you want, you may go forth and invoke Allah against me, and I would invoke Him against you. Thereupon, both of them went forth and Musa (Peace be upon him) said: Would you like to begin? Qarun said: Yes, and he made his invocations but they were not answered. When Musa (Peace be upon him) invoked Allah the Almighty against him saying: O Allah! Command the earth to transgress today. Allah revealed to him that He did. Then, Musa (Peace be upon him) said: O earth! Take them! And it took them to their feet. Then, he said: take them! And it took them to their knees. Then, he said: take them! And it took them to their shoulders. Then, he said: O earth! Bring their .riches and treasures! They were brought till they saw them, then Musa (Peace be upon him) pointed with his hand saying: Go, you sons of Laui! And they sank into the earth.

カターダが次のように伝えた。「彼らは復活の日まで大地に沈められ続けるのである。」イブン・アッバース（アッラーが彼を喜ばれますように）は言った。

It was narrated from Qatadah that he said: "They would sink into the earth till the Day of Resurrection." Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

「彼らは第七の大地に届くまで地中に沈められた。」アッラーは全能であられ、こう仰せられる：{それから、彼にはアッラーに対して彼を助ける集団も党派もなく、また彼自身も自分を救える者ではなかった}、すなわち

"They sank into the earth till they reached the seventh earth." Allah the Almighty says: {Then he had no group or party to help him against Allah, nor was he one of those who could save themselves}, i.e.

彼は自分自身を助けることもできず、他の人から助けを得ることもできなかった。アッラーは全能なる御方として次のように仰せられる。

he could not help himself or get help from others. Allah the Almighty states:

{Then he will have no power, nor any helper}。（アッ＝ターリク、10節）人々はカールーンとその財宝が地中に沈み、完全に滅ぼされるのを目にしたとき、前日に彼のような地位を望んでいた者たちは悔い、全能のアッラーに感謝した。そして次のように言った。

{Then he will have no power, nor any helper}. (At-Tariq, 10) When the people saw what happened to Qarun and his treasures of sinking into the earth and complete destruction, those who had desired for a position like his position the day before regretted and thanked Allah the Almighty and hence they said:

{もしアッラーが私たちにご慈悲をお与えにならなかったなら、あの方は私たちを地中に飲み込ませることもおできになったであろう！ 知らないのか、不信仰者たちは決して成功しないということを}。

{Had it not been that Allah was Gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up (also)! Know you not that the disbelievers will never be successful}.

そして、全能のアッラーは私たちに{あの来世の住まい}について告げておられる。すなわち、

Then, Allah the Almighty informs us that {That home of the Hereafter}, i.e.

楽園は、{地上で傲慢さと圧制をもって真理に背かず、また罪を犯して害悪をなすことのない者たち}のためにのみ用意されている。そして、{最も良き結末は、ムッタキーン（敬虔で正しい人々）のためにある}とお告げになっている。

Paradise is prepared only for those {who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes} and then He says: {And the good end is for the Muttaqun (the pious and righteous persons)}.

このカールーンの物語は、彼らがエジプトを出る前に起きたのかもしれません。アッラーは次のように仰せられているからです。{そこで我々は彼と彼の住まいを大地に呑み込ませた}。あるいは、それはその後、離散の時代に起きたのかもしれません。

This story of Qarun might have taken place before they get out of Egypt for Allah the Almighty says: {So, We caused the earth to swallow him and his dwelling place}, or it might have taken place after that during the Diaspora.

アッラーこそが最もよくご存じです!しかし、栄光あるクルアーンのいくつかの節で、全能のアッラーはカールーン(コラ)への非難に言及されています。アッラーは仰います:{また、われはムーサー(モーセ)を、われの印(証拠、証明、節、教訓、徴、啓示など)と明白な権威とともに遣わした。フィルアウン(ファラオ)、ハーマーン、カールーン(コラ)のもとへ。しかし彼らは言った、「魔術師だ、嘘つきだ!」}(ガーフィル章、23、24節)。また、スーラ・アル=アンカブートでは、アード、サムード、ファラオ、ハーマーン、カールーンに言及した後、こう仰います:{そして(われはまた)カールーン(コラ)、フィルアウン(ファラオ)、ハーマーンを(滅ぼした)。まことにムーサー(モーセ)は、教訓と明白な節(証拠、証明、節、徴、啓示など)を携えて彼らのもとに来たが、彼らは地上で傲慢であった。しかし彼らは、われから逃れることはできなかった。そこで、われは各々をその罪のゆえに罰した。その中には、われが小石を降らせた者(ルートの民のように)があり、その中には、サイハ(恐ろしい叫び声、サムードやシュアイブの民のような懲罰)に襲われた者があり、その中には、われが大地に呑み込ませた者(カールーン(コラ)のように)があり、その中には、われが溺れさせた者(ヌーフ(ノア)の民、あるいはフィルアウン(ファラオ)とその民のように)がある。}

Allah knows best! However, Almighty Allah mentions the dispraise of Qarun in several Verses on the Glorious Qur'an. Allah says: {And indeed We sent Musa (Moses) with Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, .verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and a manifest authority. To Fir'aun (Pharaoh), Haman and Qarun (Korah), but they called (him): "A sorcerer, a liar!"}. (Ghafir, 23, 24) and, in Surah Al-'Ankabut after mentioning 'Ad, Thamud, Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun, He says: {And (We destroyed also) Qarun (Korah), Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and Haman. And indeed Musa (Moses) came to them with lessons, clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us (escape Our punishment). So, We punished each (of them) for his sins,. of them were some on whom We sent Hasib (a violent wind with shower of stones) [as on the people of Lut (Lot)], and of them were some who were overtaken by As-Saihah [torment -awful cry, (as Thamud or Shu'aib's People)], and of them were some whom We caused the earth to swallow [as Qarun (Korah)], and of them were some whom We drowned [as the people ofNuh (Noah), or Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and hispeople].

「アッラーが彼らに不正を行ったのではなく、彼ら自身が自らに不正を行っていたのである」{アル＝アンカブート章 39、40節}。したがって、大地に呑み込まれた者はカールーンであり、溺れさせられた者はフィルアウン、ハーマーン、そしてその軍勢であった。彼らが罪深い者たちだったからである。

It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged themselves}. (Al-'Ankabut, 39, 40) so, he who was swallowed by the earth was Qarun, and those whom were drowned were Pharaoh, Haman and their troops because they were sinful.

イマーム・アフマドは『ムスナド』の中で、預言者ﷺが一度、礼拝について言及して次のように述べたと伝えている。「それを規則正しく、正しく守る者にとって、それは復活の日における光、証拠、そして救いとなる。そして、それを規則正しく、正しく守らない者には、光も、証拠も、救いも存在しない。そして復活の日、彼はカールーン、フィルアウン、ハーマーン、そしてウバイイ・イブン・ハラフと共に(集められる)。」

Imam Ahmed, in his Musnad, reported that once the Prophet (Peace be upon him) remembered the prayer and said: "He who observes it regularly and properly, it will be light, evidence and salvation for him on the Day of Resurrection. And, he who does not observe it regularly and properly, there will neither be -for him -light, nor evidence, nor salvation. And, on the Day of Resurrection, he will be (gathered) with Qarun, Fir'aun (Pharaoh), Haman and Ubaiy Ibn Khalaf".
