Limpe a parte externa das partes íntimas com três pedras limpas, a fim de remover a impureza. Depois, lave as partes íntimas com água limpa para retirar o vestígio da impureza. É permitido fazer o istinjaa com qualquer um dos dois meios, mas usar água é melhor.

Wipe the outward of private part with three clean stones in order to remove the impurity. Thereafter, wash the private part with clean water to take out the trace of impurity. It is permissible to make Istinjaa with any of the two objects, but using water is better.

1. A impureza não pode secar, nem se espalhar.

1. The impurity must not get dry nor does it spread.

2. A pedra deve estar livre de impureza.

2. The stone must be free from impurity.

3. A impureza não deve exceder a parte íntima.

3. The impurity must not exceed the private part.

4. A pedra ou o seu substituto deve estar seco e limpo. Ela pode servir para remover a impureza.

4. The stone or its alternate must be dry and clean. It can serve the purpose of removing impurity.

Todo objeto inanimado limpo que não seja considerado sagrado pode ser usado como alternativa à pedra, ao papel e à madeira, por exemplo.

Every clean inanimate which is not regard sacred can be used as an alternative to stone, paper and wood for instance.

1. Entrar no banheiro com o pé esquerdo e sair com o pé direito.

1. To enter the toilet with the left foot and come out with the right one.

2. Recitar a seguinte Du'a antes de entrar:

Bismillah, A’uudhu billahi minal-khubthi wal-khabaa’ith (Transliteração: Bismillah, Aau’zubillahi Minal-Khubsi Wal-Khabaayees)

بسم ال أعوذ بال من الخبث و الخبائث (Transliteration: Bismillah, Aau’zubillahi Minal-Khubsi Wal-Khabaayees)

Tradução: Em nome de Allah, busco refúgio em Allah contra os demônios malignos, homens e mulheres.

(Translation: In the name of Allaah, I seek refuge with Allaah from the male and female evil devils.)

Ao sair do banheiro, recite esta Du'a:

When coming out from the toilet read this Du’aa:

Alhamdulillahillazee Azhaba Annil-Azaa Wa Aafaanee Ou, traduzindo o significado para o português: "Louvado seja Allah, que afastou de mim o sofrimento e me concedeu a saúde."

الحمد ال الذي اذهب عنى الذى و عافاني (Transliteration: Alhamdulillahillazee Azhaba Annil-Azaa Wa Aafaanee)

(Tradução: Todo louvor é devido a Allah, que me livrou de substâncias nocivas e me concedeu alívio.)

(Translation: All praise is due to Allaah who has taken away from me harmful substances and granted me relief.)

3. Para aliviar-se (quando não há banheiro disponível) em um lugar reservado, onde não se possa ser visto, nem se possam ouvir ou sentir o cheiro das excreções.

3. To relieve (when a toilet is not available) in privacy where one can not be seen nor can the sound and oduor of excrement be heard and smelled.

4. Usar a mão esquerda para fazer o istinjaa e lavá-la antes e depois de aliviar-se.

4. To use the left hand for making Istinjaa and wash it before and after relieving.

5. Proteger-se dos respingos de urina e de fezes.

5. To safeguard oneself from the droplets of urine and stool.

1. To urinate in water which is in a large quantity

2. Levar algo que contenha o nome de Allah para dentro do banheiro

2. To take something which carries the name of Allah inside the toilet

3. Voltar-se para a Qiblah (1) ou virar as costas para ela

3. To face Qiblah (1) or turn the back towards it

4. Voltar-se para a direção do vento

4. To face the direction of wind

5. Falar durante a pergunta sobre algo para remover a impureza

5. To speak beside asking for something to remove impurity

6. Cuspir sem nenhuma necessidade

6. To spit without any necessity

7. Olhar para o céu.

7. To look towards the sky.

8. Descansar sob uma árvore que dê frutos ou à sombra de uma árvore onde as pessoas se sentam.

8. To relieve under a fruit-bearing tree or at the shade of a tree where people sit.
