Istinjaa
इस्तिंजा एक ऐसा कार्य है जिसमें शौचालय के उपयोग के बाद गंदे गुप्तांगों को पानी, पत्थर या इसी तरह की वस्तुओं की सहायता से शुद्ध किया जाता है।
Istinjaa is an act of purifying polluted private parts after using toilet whether with the help of water, stone or similar objects.
इस्तिंजा करने का तरीक़ा
Method Of Making Istinjaa
बाहरी भाग (शर्मगाह के बाहरी हिस्से) को तीन साफ़ पत्थरों से पोंछो ताकि नजासत दूर हो जाए। इसके बाद, नजासत का असर निकालने के लिए शर्मगाह को साफ़ पानी से धोओ। इस्तिंजा दोनों में से किसी भी चीज़ से करना जायज़ है, लेकिन पानी का इस्तेमाल करना बेहतर है।
Wipe the outward of private part with three clean stones in order to remove the impurity. Thereafter, wash the private part with clean water to take out the trace of impurity. It is permissible to make Istinjaa with any of the two objects, but using water is better.
इस्तिंजा के लिए पत्थर का प्रयोग करने की शर्तें
Conditions For Making Istinjaa With Stone
1. नापाकी (नजासत) सूखनी नहीं चाहिए और न ही वह फैलनी चाहिए।
1. The impurity must not get dry nor does it spread.
2. पत्थर (इस्तिंजा के लिए प्रयुक्त पत्थर) अपवित्रता से मुक्त होना चाहिए।
2. The stone must be free from impurity.
3. नजासत (अशुद्धि) गुप्तांग से आगे न बढ़ी हो।
3. The impurity must not exceed the private part.
4. पत्थर या उसका विकल्प सूखा और साफ़ होना चाहिए। वह नजासत (गंदगी) दूर करने के उद्देश्य को पूरा कर सकता है।
4. The stone or its alternate must be dry and clean. It can serve the purpose of removing impurity.

Alternative Object To Stone
हर पवित्र (ताहिर) निर्जीव वस्तु, जिसे पवित्र (मुक़द्दस) न माना जाता हो, उसका प्रयोग पत्थर, काग़ज़ और लकड़ी के विकल्प के रूप में किया जा सकता है।
Every clean inanimate which is not regard sacred can be used as an alternative to stone, paper and wood for instance.
इस्तिंजा में सुन्नत कर्म
Acts That Are Sunnah In Istinjaa
शौचालय में बायाँ पैर रखकर प्रवेश करना और दायाँ पैर रखकर बाहर निकलना।
1. To enter the toilet with the left foot and come out with the right one.

बिस्मिल्लाह, अऊज़ु बिल्लाहि मिनल-ख़ुबसि वल-ख़बाइस (अर्थ: अल्लाह के नाम से, मैं ख़बीस (नर) और ख़बीसा (मादा) जिन्नों से अल्लाह की पनाह माँगता हूँ।)
بسم ال أعوذ بال من الخبث و الخبائث (Transliteration: Bismillah, Aau’zubillahi Minal-Khubsi Wal-Khabaayees)
अल्लाह के नाम से, मैं अल्लाह की शरण माँगता हूँ, शैतान मर्दों और औरतों की बुराई से।
(Translation: In the name of Allaah, I seek refuge with Allaah from the male and female evil devils.)
शौचालय से बाहर निकलते समय यह दुआ पढ़ें:
When coming out from the toilet read this Du’aa:
अल्हम्दुलिल्लाहिल्लज़ी अज़हaबा अन्निल-अज़ा व आफ़ानी (लिप्यंतरण: अल्हम्दुलिल्लाहिल्लज़ी अज़हबा अन्निल-अज़ा व आफ़ानी)
الحمد ال الذي اذهب عنى الذى و عافاني (Transliteration: Alhamdulillahillazee Azhaba Annil-Azaa Wa Aafaanee)
अनुवाद: सम्पूर्ण प्रशंसा अल्लाह के लिए है, जिसने मुझसे हानिकारक चीज़ें दूर कीं और मुझे राहत प्रदान की।
(Translation: All praise is due to Allaah who has taken away from me harmful substances and granted me relief.)
3. (शौचालय उपलब्ध न हो तब) शौच करना एकांत स्थान पर, जहाँ कोई देख न सके और न ही मल की आवाज़ और दुर्गंध सुनाई या सूँघी जा सके।
3. To relieve (when a toilet is not available) in privacy where one can not be seen nor can the sound and oduor of excrement be heard and smelled.
4. इस्तिंजा के लिए बायाँ हाथ इस्तेमाल करना और शौच से पहले और बाद में उसे धोना।
4. To use the left hand for making Istinjaa and wash it before and after relieving.
5. पेशाब और मल की छींटों से स्वयं को बचाना।
5. To safeguard oneself from the droplets of urine and stool.
इस्तिन्जा में मकरूह कार्य
Acts That Are Makrooh In Istinjaa
1. बड़ी मात्रा में मौजूद पानी में पेशाब करना
1. To urinate in water which is in a large quantity
2. शौचालय के अंदर ऐसी कोई वस्तु ले जाना जिस पर अल्लाह का नाम लिखा हो
2. To take something which carries the name of Allah inside the toilet
3. किबला की ओर मुख करना (1) या उसकी ओर पीठ करना
3. To face Qiblah (1) or turn the back towards it
4. हवा की दिशा की ओर मुँह करना
4. To face the direction of wind
5. नापाकी दूर करने के लिए कुछ माँगते समय बोलना
5. To speak beside asking for something to remove impurity
6. बिना किसी आवश्यकता के थूकना
6. To spit without any necessity
7. आसमान की ओर देखना।
7. To look towards the sky.
8. फलदार पेड़ के नीचे या उस पेड़ की छाया में मल त्याग करना जहाँ लोग बैठते हैं।
8. To relieve under a fruit-bearing tree or at the shade of a tree where people sit.
