वुज़ू की वैधता के लिए पाँच शर्तें हैं। वे शर्तें इस प्रकार हैं:

There are five conditions for the validity of Wudhoo. The conditions are as follows:

1. मुसलमान होना

1. To be a Muslim

2. सहीह (प्रामाणिक) होना

2. To be sound

वुज़ू में जो अंग धोए जाते हैं, उन पर कोई ऐसी चीज़ नहीं होनी चाहिए जो पानी को अंगों के पूरे हिस्से तक पहुँचने से रोके, जैसे मोम, चर्बी, और आँखों के कोनों में जमा होने वाला मैल।

3. The parts of body which are washed in Wudhoo must be free from any object that prevents water from reaching the entire parts such as candle, fat and discharge collecting in eye corners.

4. To not regard any Fardh of Wudhoo as Sunnah

वुज़ू में छह कार्य हैं जिनका पालन करना आवश्यक है। वे कार्य इस प्रकार हैं:

There are six practices in Wudhoo which are necessary to follow. The practices are as follows:

1. चेहरा धोने से पहले वुज़ू की नीयत करना 2. पूरा चेहरा माथे पर बालों की शुरुआत से ठोड़ी के नीचे तक और एक कान की लौ से दूसरी कान की लौ तक धोना।

1. To make the intention of Wudhoo before washing the face 2. To wash the whole face from the hair of the forehead to below the chin and from one earlobe to another.

3. दोनों हाथों को कोहनियों सहित धोना, और लंबे नाखूनों के नीचे ढके हुए उंगलियों के सिरों को भी।

3. To wash both the hands including the elbows and the fingertips covered by the long nails.

4. सिर के किसी भाग का मसह करना, भले ही वहाँ बाल न हों। केवल सिर से जुड़े लंबे बालों का मसह करना पर्याप्त नहीं होगा।

4. To make Masah of some part of head, even if there is no hair. It will not suffice to make only Masah of long hair follows from head.

5. दोनों पैरों को टखनों और एड़ियों सहित धोना।

5. To wash both the feet including the ankles and the heals.

6. उपर्युक्त चारों अंगों को धोने में सही क्रम बनाए रखना।

6. To maintain proper sequence in washing the above-mentioned four parts.

वुज़ू में कई सुन्नत कार्य हैं। उनमें से कुछ इस प्रकार हैं:

There are many Sunan acts in Wudhoo. Few of them are as follows:

1. बिस्मिल्लाह पढ़ना

1. To recite Bismillah

2. बर्तन में हाथ डालने से पहले दोनों हाथों को कलाइयों तक धोना

2. To wash both the hands up to the wrists before putting them into the container

3. मिस्वाक का प्रयोग करना

3. To use Miswaak

4. कुल्ला करना

4. To gargle

5. नाक को पानी से साफ़ करना (इस्तिन्शाक़)

5. To rinse the nose

6. पूरे सिर का मसह करना

6. To make Masah of the complete head

7. दोनों कानों के बाहरी और भीतरी दोनों हिस्सों का मसह करना

7. To make Masah of the both outer and inter parts of ears

8. हाथों और पैरों की उंगलियों में ख़िलाल करना

8. To make Khilaal of the fingers of hands and feet

9. घनी दाढ़ी का ख़िलाल करना

9. To make Khilaal of the thick beard

10. अंगूठी को हिलाना

10. To shake the ring

11. पहले दाहिना हाथ धोना

11. To wash the right hand first

12. हर कार्य को तीन बार दोहराना

12. To repeat every action three times

13. पिछले हिस्से के सूखने से पहले अगला हिस्सा धोना

13. To wash the next part before the previous one gets dry

15. धोते समय अंगों को मलना

15. To rub the parts while washing

16. वुज़ू पूरा करने के बाद दुआ पढ़ना

16. To read the Du’aa after completing the Wudhoo

निम्नलिखित चार कार्य वुज़ू में मकरूह हैं:

The following four acts are Makhrooh in Wudhoo:

1. आवश्यकता से अधिक पानी का उपयोग करना

1. To use water more than necessity

2. बिना किसी वैध कारण के वुज़ू करने में किसी से सहायता माँगना

2. To seek someone’s assistance for making Wudhoo without any valid reason

3. विशेष अंगों को तीन बार से अधिक धोना

3. To wash the specific parts more than thrice

4. शरीर को सुखाना

4. To dry out the body

वुज़ू को भंग करने वाले कार्य चार प्रकार के होते हैं।

Acts that can invalidate one’s Wudhoo are of four types.

1. गुप्तांगों में से जो कुछ भी निकले 2. नशे, बीमारी, बेहोशी या ऐसी नींद से बुद्धि का जाता रहना जिसमें चूतड़ ज़मीन से हट जाएँ।

1. Whatever comes out from any of the private parts 2. Losing sense by drinking, sickness, fainting or sleeping in a way that the rumps.

ज़मीन से जुड़े हुए नहीं हैं।

are not attached with the ground.

3. बिना किसी आड़ के विपरीत लिंग के ग़ैर-महरम (1) की हाथों को छूना।

3. Touching the hands of Ghair-Mahram (1) from opposite sex without any barrier.

4. किसी के गुप्तांग को हथेली या उँगलियों के सिरों से छूना।
