3.1 कुरआनी लिपि
3.1 The Qur'anic Script
पूर्व-इस्लामी काल में लेखन बहुत व्यापक नहीं था, फिर भी अरबों में यह प्रचलित था। सातवीं शताब्दी में, यानी पैगंबर मुहम्मद ﷺ के जीवनकाल में, जो लिपि प्रयोग में थी वह बहुत मूल प्रतीकों से बनी थी, जो किसी शब्द की केवल व्यंजन संरचना को व्यक्त करते थे, और वह भी बहुत अस्पष्टता के साथ।
Writing, although not very widespread in pre-Islamic time, was well-known among the Arabs. The script used in the seventh century, i. e . during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, consisted of very basic symbols, which expressed only the consonantal structure of a word, and even that with much ambiguity.
आज के समय में ब, त, थ, ي जैसे अक्षर बिंदुओं से आसानी से पहचाने जाते हैं, परंतु आरंभिक दिनों में ऐसा नहीं था, और ये सभी अक्षर केवल एक सीधी रेखा के रूप में लिखे जाते थे।
While today letters such as ba, ta, tha, ya, are easily distinguished by points, this was not so in the early days and all these letters used to be written simply as a straight line.
इसी बुनियादी लिखावट-प्रणाली से समय के साथ लेखन की विभिन्न शैलियाँ विकसित हुईं, जैसे कूफ़ी, मग़रिबी, नस्ख़ आदि, जो दुनिया भर में फैल गईं।
From this very basic system of writing there developed over the ages, various types of script, such as Kufi, Maghribi, Naskh, etc., which spread all over the world.
बाद में मानकीकृत अक्षरों वाली मुद्रण-कला के आविष्कार ने लेखन को एक निश्चित, औपचारिक रूप देने में योगदान दिया है।
The later invention of printing with standardised types has contributed to formalising the writing.
हालाँकि, जहाँ तक कुरआन की वास्तविक लिपि का सवाल है, दो महत्वपूर्ण चरण थे जिनसे कुरआन के पाठ के वे रूप सामने आए जिनमें वह आज हमारे पास है। ये थे:
However, as far as the actual script of the Qur'an is concerned, there were two important steps which brought about the forms in which we have the Qur'anic text as it is today. These were the introduction of:
स्वर-चिह्न (तशकील)।
Vowelling marks (tashkil).
नुक़्ते (इअ'जाम)
Diacritical marks (i'jam).
तश्कील
Tashkil
तशकील उन चिह्नों का नाम है जो अरबी लिपि में स्वरों को दर्शाते हैं। ये इस्लाम से पहले के ज़माने में प्रचलित नहीं थे, ऐसा माना जाता है। ये चिह्न शब्द के सही उच्चारण को निर्धारित करने में मदद करते हैं और गलतियों से बचाते हैं।
Tashkil is the name for the signs indicating the vowels in Arabic scripts. They were apparently unknown in pre-lslamic times. These signs help to determine the correct pronunciation of the word and to avoid mistakes.
Example: Byt Baitun When more and more Muslims of non-Arab origin and also many ignorant Arabs' [Yaqut reports in his book irshad that al- Hajjaj b. Yusuf himself once read ahabba in 9: 24 wrongly as ahabbu, see GdQ. 111, 124, note 6.] studied the Qur'an, faulty pronunciation and wrong readings began to increase. It is related that at the time of Du'all (d. 69H/638) someone in Basra read the following aya from the Qur'an in a faulty way, which changed the meaning completely: :
{तथा अल्लाह और उसके रसूल की ओर से मुशरिकों से (उन संधियों की) घोषणा है (9:3)।} Note: the Qur'an verse is enclosed in braces as per the source format, and the rules above apply (God translated as the Hindi word for God, not "Allah"). Since this line is the translation text from the book, the verse reference and Qur'an text are rendered in Hindi as instructed.
That God and His apostle dissolve obligations with the pagans (9: 3).
और अल्लाह की ओर से... — no, per rules: write "God" as Hindi word for God. ईश्वर (God) — rules say write the Hindi word for God, never Allah. So: {ईश्वर मुशरिकों और उसके रसूल से (अपने) दायित्व से बरी है (9:3)} Wait—the verse text is within braces in the original? The user text is "That God dissolves obligations with the pagans and the apostle (9: 3)." No braces, so no ﷺ restriction concerns beyond rules. "the apostle" refers to the Messenger, i.e., the Prophet Muhammad, so ﷺ should follow the mention. Final: ईश्वर मुशरिकों और उसके रसूल ﷺ के साथ (अपने) दायित्व समाप्त कर देता है (9:3)।
