5.3 The Prophets’ methodology for establishing the Islamic State
Der Prophet ﷺ errichtete den ersten islamischen Staat in Madinah, danach wurde Abu Bakr (ra) Khalifah, gefolgt von ‘Umar (ra), ‘Uthman und ‘Ali (ra). Dieses Khilafah bestand über die nächsten dreizehnhundert Jahre hinweg fort, bis zu seiner Zerstörung am 3. März 1924.
The Prophet (saw) established the first Islamic State in Madinah after which Abu Bakr (ra) became the Khaleefah followed by ‘Umar (ra), ‘Uthman and ‘Ali (ra). This Khilafah continued to exist throughout the next thirteen hundred years until its destruction on the 3rd of March 1924.
Daher besteht die Notwendigkeit, die Methodik aus den verfügbaren islamischen Quellen abzuleiten, in diesem Fall aus der Sunnah des Propheten ﷺ, indem man die Sīrah des Propheten ﷺ unter rechtlichem Gesichtspunkt versteht. Danach gilt es, jene Handlungen nachzuahmen, die er ﷺ im Rahmen der Erfüllung seiner Pflicht zur Verwirklichung der islamischen Lebensweise in der Praxis vollzog.
Hence what is required is to derive the methodology from the Islamic sources that are available which in this instance is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) through understanding the Seerah of the Prophet (saw) from a legal perspective. Then to emulate those actions which he (saw) undertook as part of fulfilling his obligation in assuming the Islamic way of life in the practical sense.
