Mencione no Livro (Alcorão) Idris (Enoque). Ele era, em verdade, um homem de verdade e um profeta. E o elevamos a uma posição elevada. (Cap. 19:56-57 do Alcorão).

Enoque nasceu e foi criado na Babilônia seguindo os ensinamentos e a religião do Profeta Adão (que a paz esteja com ele) e de seu filho Set (que a paz esteja com ele). Enoque era da quinta geração do Profeta Adão. Ele chamou o povo de volta à religião de seus antepassados, mas apenas poucos o ouviram, enquanto a maioria se afastou.

Enoch was born and raised in Babylon following the teachings and religion of Prophet Adam (pbuh) and his son Seth (pbuh). Enoch was the 5th generation of the Prophet Adam. He called the people back to his forefathers religion, but only a few listened to him, while the majority turned away.

O Profeta Enoque e seus seguidores deixaram a Babilônia rumo ao Egito. Lá ele prosseguiu com sua missão, convocando as pessoas ao que é justo e equitativo, ensinando-lhes certas orações e instruindo-as a jejuar em certos dias e a dar uma parte de suas riquezas aos pobres.

Prophet Enoch and his followers left Babylon for Egypt. There he carried on his mission, calling people to what is just and fair, teaching them certain prayers and instructing them to fast on certain days and to give a portion of their wealth to the poor.

Ele foi o primeiro dos Filhos de Adão a receber a profecia depois de Adão e Seth (que a paz esteja com eles). Relata-se que foi o primeiro a inventar a forma básica da escrita. Algumas de suas sábias palavras são:
