Allah a loué Enoch, le décrivant comme étant un prophète et véridique :

Allah has praised Enoch, describing him as being a prophet and truthful:

« Et mentionne dans le Livre Idris (Enoch). Certes, il était un véridique et un prophète. Et Nous l'avons élevé à un haut rang ». (Ch 19:56-57 Coran).

"Mention in the Book (Quran) Idris (Enoch). Verily! He was a man of truth (and) a prophet. We raised him to a high station". (Ch 19:56-57 Quran).

Enoch est né et a grandi à Babylone en suivant les enseignements et la religion du Prophète Adam (paix sur lui) et de son fils Seth (paix sur lui). Enoch était de la 5ème génération du Prophète Adam. Il a rappelé les gens à la religion de leurs ancêtres, mais seuls quelques-uns l'ont écouté, tandis que la majorité s'en est détournée.

Enoch was born and raised in Babylon following the teachings and religion of Prophet Adam (pbuh) and his son Seth (pbuh). Enoch was the 5th generation of the Prophet Adam. He called the people back to his forefathers religion, but only a few listened to him, while the majority turned away.

Le Prophète Enoch ﷺ et ses partisans quittèrent Babylon pour l'Égypte. Il y poursuivit sa mission, appelant les gens à ce qui est juste et équitable, leur enseignant certaines prières et leur ordonnant de jeûner certains jours et de donner une partie de leur richesse aux pauvres.

Prophet Enoch and his followers left Babylon for Egypt. There he carried on his mission, calling people to what is just and fair, teaching them certain prayers and instructing them to fast on certain days and to give a portion of their wealth to the poor.

Il fut le premier des enfants d'Adam à recevoir la prophétie après Adam et Seth (que la paix soit sur eux). Il est rapporté qu'il fut le premier à inventer la forme de base de l'écriture. Certaines de ses paroles de sagesse sont :

He was the first of the Children of Adam to be given prophethood after Adam and Seth (peace upon them). It is reported that he was the 1st to invent the basic form of writing. Some of his wise sayings are:

« Heureux est celui qui contemple ses propres œuvres et les désigne comme plaideurs auprès de son Seigneur. » « Nul ne peut témoigner une meilleure gratitude pour les bienfaits d'Allah que celui qui les partage avec autrui. » « N'enviez pas les gens pour ce qu'ils possèdent, car ils n'en jouiront que pour un court instant. » « Celui qui s'abandonne à l'excès n'en tirera aucun profit. » « La véritable joie de la vie est de posséder la sagesse. »

"Happy is he who looks at his own deeds and appoints them as pleaders to his Lord." "None can show better gratitude for Allah's favors than he who shares them with others." "Do not envy people for what they have as they will only enjoy it for a short while." "He who indulges in excess will not benefit from it." "The real joy of life is to have wisdom."
