Ibn Sa'd narrou que A'ishah, que Allah esteja satisfeita com ela, disse que um homem lhe disse: "Descreva-nos Abu Bakr." Ela respondeu: "Um homem branco, de constituição esguia, de faces magras e com uma leve curvatura; não conseguia impedir que sua veste inferior escorregasse sobre os quadris; de rosto fino, olhos fundos, com a testa proeminente e as costas das mãos sem carne. Esta é a sua descrição." Ele também narrou que A'ishah, que Allah esteja satisfeita com ela, disse que Abu Bakr costumava tingir [seu cabelo e barba] com henna e índigo (katam).

Ibn Sacd narrated that cA’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said that a man said to her, ‘Describe Abu Bakr to us.’ She said, ‘A fair man, of slender build, thin cheeked and with a stoop; he could not keep his lower garment from slipping over his loins; gaunt-faced, eyes deep-set, with a prominent forehead, and the backs of his hands fleshless. This is his description.’ He narrated that cA’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said that Abu Bakr used to dye [his hair and beard] with henna and indigo (katam).

Ele narrou que Anas disse: O Mensageiro de Allah ﷺ foi a Madinah e não havia entre os seus companheiros ninguém com cabelo misturado de branco e preto, exceto Abu Bakr; então ele o tingiu com hena e índigo {katam}.

He narrated that Anas said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, went to Madinah and there was no-one among his companions having hair of mixed white and black except Abu Bakr, so he dyed it with henna and indigo {katam).
