यदि अच्छा गुमान कर्म और अमल की प्रेरणा देता है तो वह सही है, किंतु यदि वह निष्क्रियता और गुनाहों में लिप्त होने की सलाह देता है तो वह धोखा है। अच्छा गुमान एक आरज़ू है, अतः जिसकी आरज़ू उसे अल्लाह ﷻ की आज्ञापालन की ओर ले जाए और गुनाहों से रोके, तो वह सही आरज़ू है; लेकिन जिसकी आरज़ू केवल निष्क्रिय रहना हो, तो वह निश्चित रूप से धोखे में है। यह उस व्यक्ति जैसा है जो अल्लाह ﷻ के बारे में अच्छा गुमान रखता है और जन्नत के सबसे ऊँचे दर्जे तक पहुँचने, एक शाश्वत अनुग्रह पाने की प्रबल इच्छा रखता है, परंतु अल्लाह के आदेशों का पालन नहीं करता! अल्लाह ﷻ ने फ़रमाया: ( निश्चय ही जो लोग ईमान लाए, और जिन्होंने हिजरत की (अल्लाह के दीन के लिए) और अल्लाह की राह में जिहाद किया; ये सब अल्लाह की रहमत की आशा रखते हैं)।

If a good opinion advocates work and action then 1t 1s correct, however if it recommends idleness and indulgence in sins, then it is deception. Good opinion is a wish, so whoever' s wish is guiding him to obey Allah ~' and preventing him from committing sins, then it is a sound wish; but whoever's wish is to stay idle, then he is definitely deceived. It is like someone who has good opinion of Allah ~' with a strong wish to achieve the highest level in Paradise, in an eternal Grace, without obeying the Commands of Allah! Allah ~ said: ( Verily, those who have believed, and those who have emigrated (for Allah's Religion) and have striven hard in the way of Allah; all these hope for Allah's Mercy) . 2
