جہاں تک لوط کی قوم کا تعلق ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان کی شہوت کی شدت کا ذکر یوں فرمایا: ( اور شہر کے لوگ خوشیاں مناتے ہوئے آ پہنچے۔ لوط نے کہا: "بے شک یہ میرے مہمان ہیں، پس تم مجھے رسوا نہ کرو۔ اللہ سے ڈرو اور مجھے ذلیل نہ کرو۔" انہوں نے کہا: "کیا ہم نے تمہیں دنیا جہان کے لوگوں (یعنی باہر کے اجنبیوں) کو ٹھہرانے سے منع نہیں کیا تھا؟" لوط نے کہا: "یہ میری بیٹیاں ہیں (جائز طور پر نکاح کے لیے) اگر تمہیں کچھ کرنا ہی ہے۔" بے شک تمہاری جان کی قسم (اے محمد ﷺ)، وہ اپنی بے لگام مستی میں اندھے ہو کر بھٹک رہے تھے۔) 1 یہ لوگ اپنی ناجائز خواہش کے سبب اندھے ہو گئے تھے، اور ان کی شہوت نے انہیں اس کے نقصان سے غافل کر دیا تھا۔ یہ ایسی زہریلی اور اپاہج کر دینے والی حالت ہے جس کے علاج میں تمام طبیب عاجز آ چکے ہیں۔ جب دل کو یہ کیفیت لاحق ہو جاتی ہے تو اس کی جلانے والی شہوت اس پر غالب آ کر اسے مکمل طور پر اپنے قابو میں لے لیتی ہے۔

As for Lut' s people, Allah ~ mentioned the degree of their passion, saying: ( The inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival). Lut said: "Verily, these are my guests, so do not shame me. Fear Allah, and do not disgrace me." They said: "Did we not forbid you from entertaining any of the 'Alamin (people, foreigners and strangers from us)?" Lut said: "These are my daughters (to marry lawfully) if you must act so." Verily, by your life (0 Muhammad ii) they were wandering blindly in their wild intoxication (intoxicated by their unlawful passion).) 1 These people were blinded by their illegal desire, and their passion made them forget its harm. This is a poisonous and crippling condition which has exhausted all doctors in its treatment. When this state of mind becomes attached to the heart, its burning passion takes control to completely dominate it.
