ہم جانتے ہیں کہ اللہ ~ نے اپنے نبی ~ کو حکم دیا کہ وہ مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کے لیے مغفرت طلب کریں، جیسا کہ اس نے فرمایا: {وہ (فرشتے) جو عرشِ الٰہی کو اٹھائے ہوئے ہیں اور جو اس کے گرد ہیں، اپنے رب کی حمد کے ساتھ اس کی تسبیح کرتے ہیں، اور اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں، اور ان لوگوں کے لیے مغفرت مانگتے ہیں جو ایمان لائے (توحیدِ الٰہی پر)، کہتے ہیں: "اے ہمارے رب! تیری رحمت اور علم ہر چیز پر محیط ہے، پس ان لوگوں کو بخش دے جو توبہ کریں اور تیرے راستے پر چلیں، اور انہیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچا لے! اے ہمارے رب! اور انہیں ہمیشہ رہنے والی جنتوں میں داخل فرما جن کا تو نے ان سے وعدہ کیا ہے، اور ان کے آباء، ان کی بیویوں اور ان کی اولاد میں سے جو صالح ہوں (انہیں بھی)! بے شک تو ہی غالب، حکمت والا ہے۔ اور انہیں گناہوں سے بچا، اور جسے تو اس دن گناہوں سے بچائے گا تو یقیناً تو نے اس پر رحم فرما دیا، اور یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے۔} یہ توبہ کرنے والے ان مومنوں کے لیے فرشتوں کی دعا ہے جو اللہ کی کتاب اور اس کے رسول ﷺ کی سنت سنت کی پیروی کرتے ہیں۔ دوسرے لوگ اس دعا سے فائدہ نہ اٹھائیں، اگر وہ وہی صفات نہیں رکھتے۔

We know that Allah ~ ordered His Prophet ~ to seek forgiveness for the believing men and women, as He ~ said: (Those (Angels) who bear the Throne (of Allah) and those around it glorify the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah), saying: "Our Lord! You comprehend all things, in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire! Our Lord! And make them enter the Paradise of Eden which you have promised them - and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their offspring! Verily, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. Save them from sins, and whomsoever You save from sins that Day, him verily, You have taken into mercy." That is the supreme success.) 1 This is the supplication of the Angels for the repentant believers, who follow the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger ~- Other people should not seek benefit from this supplication, if they do not possess the same attributes.
