زنا ایک بڑی برائی ہے جو معاشرے کو تباہ کر سکتی ہے۔ یہ نسب کے تحفظ، عصمت کی حفاظت اور افراد کی حرمت کے عالمگیر مقاصد کے منافی ہے۔ یہ لوگوں کے درمیان عداوت اور دشمنی پھیلاتی ہے، کیونکہ زنا کا ارتکاب دوسرے لوگوں کی بیویوں، ماؤں، بہنوں اور بیٹیوں پر اثر انداز ہوتا ہے۔ یہ انسانی معاشرے کی تباہی کا سبب بنتا ہے، اس لیے اپنی برائی کے درجے کے اعتبار سے یہ قتل کی برائی کے بعد آتا ہے۔ امام احمد نے فرمایا: "میں قتل (کسی بے گناہ شخص کے قتل) کے بعد زنا سے بڑی کوئی برائی نہیں جانتا۔" اللہ ﷻ نے اس کی حرمت کو ثابت کیا، فرمایا: { اور جو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے، اور نہ اس جان کو قتل کرتے ہیں جسے اللہ نے حرام ٹھہرایا ہے، مگر حق کے ساتھ، اور نہ زنا کرتے ہیں، اور جو ایسا کرے گا وہ سزا پائے گا۔ قیامت کے دن اس کا عذاب دوگنا کر دیا جائے گا اور وہ اس میں ذلت کے ساتھ ہمیشہ رہے گا، سوائے اس کے جو توبہ کرے۔ } پس اللہ ﷻ نے زنا کو شرک اور ناحق قتلِ انسان کے ساتھ ملا کر بیان فرمایا، اور ایسے فعل کی سزا جہنم میں ہمیشہ کا ٹھکانا اور دوہرا عذاب ٹھہرائی، اگر شخص خالص توبہ، ایمان اور نیک اعمال کے ساتھ اس روش کو ترک نہ کرے۔ اللہ ﷻ نے فرمایا: { اور زنا کے قریب بھی نہ جاؤ، بے شک یہ بڑی بے حیائی اور بری راہ ہے۔ } اس بڑے گناہ کو عقلِ سلیم بھی ناپسند کرتی ہے، اور بہت سے جانور بھی اس سے دور بھاگتے ہیں، جیسا کہ صحیح بخاری میں عمرو بن میمون الأودی کی روایت ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں: "جاہلیت کے زمانے میں میں نے ایک بندریا کو دیکھا جس کے گرد کئی بندر جمع تھے۔ وہ سب مل کر اسے سنگسار کر رہے تھے، اس بندریا کے ساتھ جس نے ناجائز جماع کیا تھا۔" [صحیح البخاری] اللہ ﷻ بیان فرماتا ہے کہ آخرت میں کامیابی حاصل کرنے کے راستوں میں سے ایک یہ ہے کہ انسان اپنی پاک دامنی کی حفاظت کرے: (یقیناً کامیاب ہوئے ایمان والے، جو اپنی نماز میں پورے خشوع اور عاجزی کے ساتھ مشغول رہتے ہیں، اور جو لغو باتوں سے منہ موڑے رہتے ہیں، اور جو زکوٰۃ ادا کرتے ہیں، اور جو اپنی شرمگاہوں کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں، سوائے اپنی بیویوں یا اپنی لونڈیوں کے جن کے مالک ان کے داہنے ہاتھ ہوئے، کیونکہ ان پر کوئی ملامت نہیں؛ البتہ جو ان کے سوا کچھ اور چاہے تو وہی حد سے بڑھنے والے ہیں)۔ 1 اللہ ﷻ نے فرمایا: بے شک انسان بڑا ہی کم حوصلہ پیدا کیا گیا ہے؛ جب اسے کوئی تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو گھبرا اٹھتا ہے، اور جب اسے بھلائی ملتی ہے تو بخل کرنے لگتا ہے، مگر وہ لوگ جنہیں اللہ ﷻ نے مستثنیٰ فرما دیا ہے، اور پھر اس آیت میں: (وہ لوگ جو اپنی شرمگاہوں کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں (یعنی حرام جنسی افعال سے بچتے ہیں)، سوائے اپنی بیویوں یا ان لونڈیوں کے جن کے مالک ان کے داہنے ہاتھ ہوئے، کہ ان پر کوئی ملامت نہیں۔ البتہ جو ان کے سوا کچھ اور چاہے تو وہی حد سے تجاوز کرنے والے ہیں۔)2

Fornication is a great evil which can destroy society . It is contrary to the benefit of the global values of preserving lineage, protecting chastity and the sanctity of individuals. It spreads animosity and enmity among people, as committing adultery affects other people's wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. It causes destruction to human society, and therefore comes after the evil of killing in terms of the grade of its evil. Imam Ahmad said: "I don't know a greater evil after killing (an innocent person) than adultery. Allah ~ affirmed its unlawfulness, saying: ( Those who do not invoke any other god along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse - and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace, except those repent) 7 So Allah ~ has compared adultery with polytheism and killing people (without a just cause), and made the recompense for such evil act an eternal abode and double punishment in Hell , if the person does not give up such behaviour with sincere repentance, having good faith and performing good deeds . Allah ~ has said: (Do not come near adultery, verily it is a great sin and an evil way.) 8 This great sin is abhorred by common sense, and even many animals repel it, as it was reported in Sahib Al- Bukhari, on the authority of Amru bin Maymun Al-Awdy who said: "During the pre-Islamic period of ignorance I saw a she-monkey surrounded by a number of monkeys. They were all stoning it to death along with the monkey who had committed unauthorised sexual intercourse." Allah ~ states that among the ways for a person to succeed in the Hereafter is to preserve his/her chastity: ( Successful indeed are the believers, those who offer their Salat with all solemnity and full submissiveness, and those who turn away from falsehood, and those who pay Zakat, and those who guard their chastity, except from their wives or the slaves which their right hands possess - for then, they are free from blame; but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors) 1 As Allah ~ said, Man was created very impatient; he is irritable when evil affects him, and when good affects him, he is niggardly, except those whom Allah ~ has singled out, again , in the following Verse: ( those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts from illegal sexual acts), except from their wives or (the women slaves) whom their right hands possess - for then they are not blameworthy. But whosoever seeks beyond that, then it is those who are trespassers.)2
