في أشد الاضطهاد والأذى الذي لقيه المسلمون في الفترة المكية الأولى، كان النبي محمد ﷺ يثبت دون أن يتزعزع، فينقل إلى أصحابه وعد الله بانتشار الإسلام في أنحاء العالم كله. وروى تميم الداري أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: «لَيَبْلُغَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ مَا بَلَغَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ».

Amidst the fiercest persecution and abuse that the Muslims faced in the earliest Meccan period, the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم would stand without wavering and convey to his followers God’s promise of Islam spreading all over the world. Tamīm al-Dārī  reports that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “This matter will certainly reach every place touched by the night and day.

اللہ تعالیٰ مٹی یا اون کے کسی بھی گھر کو نہیں چھوڑے گا مگر یہ کہ اس میں یہ دین داخل کر دے گا، جس کے ذریعے عزت والوں کو عزت دی جائے گی اور ذلیل ہونے والوں کو ذلیل کیا جائے گا۔ اللہ عزت والوں کو اسلام کے ذریعے عزت دے گا اور ذلت والوں کو کفر کے ذریعے ذلیل کرے گا۔“272 ایک اور روایت میں، جسے ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ نے روایت کیا ہے، ہے: ”بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ نے میرے لیے زمین کو سمیٹ دیا، پس میں نے اس کا مشرق اور مغرب دیکھا، اور میری امت کی حکومت یقیناً وہاں تک پہنچے گی جو میرے لیے سمیٹی گئی۔“273 یہ پیش گوئیاں ایسے وقت میں کی گئیں جب مسلمان ایک بے بس مٹھی بھر جماعت تھے، اور یہ توقع کی جا رہی تھی کہ اسلام اپنے گہوارے ہی میں دفن ہو جائے گا، یہ حقیقت معجزے سے کم نہیں۔ اُس وقت یہ گمان کرنا بھی کہ یہ دین باقی رہے گا، زیادہ تر لوگوں کے نزدیک خیالی پلاؤ سمجھا جاتا تھا۔ یہ کہ اسلام نہ صرف باقی رہے گا بلکہ دنیا بھر میں پھیل کر پروان چڑھے گا، اُس وقت ناقابلِ تصور تھا۔ آج ہم آباد ہر براعظم پر مساجد پاتے ہیں، حتیٰ کہ الاسکا اور ہوائی جیسے دور دراز مقامات پر بھی۔ یہ حقیقت اس دلیل کو کمزور کر دیتی ہے کہ یہ حدیث اُس وقت گھڑی گئی ہو جب اسلام بحیرۂ روم اور وسطی ایشیا تک پھیل چکا تھا، کیونکہ اس کے بعد یہ دین اس سے کہیں زیادہ دور تک پھیل چکا ہے۔

Allah will not leave a house of mud or even fur except that He will cause this religion to enter it, by which the honorable will be honored, and the disgraceful will be disgraced. Allah will honor the honorable with Islam and He will disgrace the disgraceful with unbelief.”272 In another narration, reported by Thawbān , “Indeed, Allah gathered up the earth for me so that I saw its east and its west, and the dominion of my nation will indeed reach what was gathered up for me.”273 The fact that these predictions were made at a time when Muslims were a powerless handful, and Islam was expected to be buried in its cradle, is nothing short of miraculous. At that point, presuming that the faith would even survive would be considered by most to be a pipedream. That Islam would not just survive, but grow to thrive globally, was at that point inconceivable. We now find mosques on every inhabited continent, and even in remote places like Alaska and Hawaii. This truly complicates the argument that this hadith could have been fabricated after Islam had spread throughout the Mediterranean and Central Asia, considering it has spread so much farther since then.

الدين الأكثر أتباعاً على وجه الأرض.274 ولم يعد من الصعب تصوّر أن تصبح أوروبا، بشكل طبيعي، ذات أغلبية مسلمة خلال قرن آخر. فقد نما الإسلام نمواً ملحوظاً هناك بالفعل، إذ إن عمدة لندن مسلم حالياً، ويشير مركز بيو للأبحاث إلى أن السويد قد تصبح 30% مسلمة بحلول عام 2050.275 وفي كل ذلك دلالة واضحة على تحقق النبوءة بأن الإسلام سيصبح حتماً ديناً عالمياً رائداً.

the religion with the most adherents on the planet.274 It is no longer difficult to imagine Europe organically becoming majority Muslim in another century. Islam has already grown remarkably there, with the mayor of London currently being a Muslim, and Pew Research Center noting that Sweden could become 30% Muslim by 2050.275 In all this is a clear indication of the fulfillment of the prophecy of Islam inevitably becoming a leading global religion.
