Ibn ‘Asakir a rapporté qu'Abu’l-Aliyyah ar-Riyahi a dit : Il fut demandé à Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, lors d'un rassemblement des compagnons du Messager d'Allah ﷺ, « As-tu bu du vin durant l'ignorance préislamique (Jahiliyyah) ? » Il répondit : « Je cherche refuge auprès d'Allah. » Quelqu'un demanda : « Pourquoi ? » Il répondit : « J'ai essayé de protéger mon honneur et de préserver ma virilité, car quiconque boit du vin perdra son honneur et sa virilité. » Il a dit : Cela parvint au Messager d'Allah ﷺ, et il dit : « Abu Bakr a dit la vérité, Abu Bakr a dit la vérité », deux fois. C'est un hadith mursal ghareeb tant au niveau de la chaîne de transmission (Isnad) que du texte.
Ibn cAsakir narrated that Abu’l-cAliyyah ar-Riyahi said: It was said to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq in a gathering of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ‘Did you drink wine in the Jahiliyyah?’ He said, ‘I seek refuge in Allah.’ Someone said, ‘Why?’ He replied, ‘I tried to protect my honour and guard my manliness, for whoever drinks wine will lose his honour and his manliness.’ He said: That reached the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said, ‘Abu Bakr has told the truth, Abu Bakr has told the truth,’ twice. It is a mursal ghareeb hadith in both isnad and text.
