আবূ সাঈদ আল-খুদরী (রাঃ) বর্ণনা করেন যে, নবী ﷺ বলেছেন, "সেই সত্তার শপথ, যাঁর হাতে আমার প্রাণ, কিয়ামত সংঘটিত হবে না যতক্ষণ না হিংস্র জন্তু মানুষের সাথে কথা বলবে, এবং যতক্ষণ না একজন মানুষের চাবুকের প্রান্ত ও তার জুতার ফিতা তার সাথে কথা বলবে, আর তার উরু তাকে জানিয়ে দেবে তার পরিবারের সাথে সে চলে যাওয়ার পর কী ঘটেছে।"340

Abū Sa’īd al-Khudrī  reports that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “By the One in whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not commence until predators speak to people, and until the tip of a man’s whip and the straps on his sandals speak to him, and his thigh informs him of what occurred with his family after he left.”340

সপ্তম শতাব্দীর একজন মরুবাসীর পক্ষে এই বক্তব্যগুলো বুঝে ওঠা কতটা কঠিন ছিল, তা কল্পনাই করা যায়। তবে তারপর থেকে বিদ্যুৎ ও ইলেকট্রনিক্সে যে অসাধারণ অগ্রগতি হয়েছে, তাতে এমন সম্ভাবনাগুলো অধিকাংশ মানুষের কাছে এখন সাধারণ বিষয়ে পরিণত হয়েছে। ২০০২ সালে TIME-এর সেরা আবিষ্কারের তালিকায় একটি জাপানি খেলনা-নির্মাতা প্রতিষ্ঠানের কুকুর-অনুবাদক যন্ত্রকে তুলে ধরা হয়েছিল। এটি একটি কলারের সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকত, যা কুকুরের ঘেউ ঘেউ, গর্জন ও কুঁইকুঁই শব্দের ব্যাখ্যা করে "আমার সহ্য হচ্ছে না", "কী একঘেয়ে" এবং "আমি একা" ধরনের বাক্যে রূপ দিত।৩৪১ ২০০৬ সালের নভেম্বরে The New York Times "These Shoes Are Made for Talking" শিরোনামে একটি প্রবন্ধ প্রকাশ করে, যাতে ক্রীড়া প্রশিক্ষণের এক ভবিষ্যৎমুখী নতুন যুগের প্রশংসা করা হয়।৩৪২ ২০১০ সালের জানুয়ারিতে একটি নিরাপত্তা ক্যামেরা অ্যাপ চালু হয়, যা আমাদের কোমরে ও পকেটে থাকা স্মার্টফোনকে আমাদের ঘরের জানালায় পরিণত করে।৩৪৩ আরেকটি উদাহরণ হলো, দূরে থাকা পরিবারের সদস্যদের সঙ্গে ভিডিও চ্যাটের সুযোগ। হয়তো এগুলোই নবী ﷺ-এর উদ্দেশ্য ছিল, অথবা এমন আরও কোনো বিষয় যা আমরা এখনো প্রত্যক্ষ করিনি।

One can only imagine how difficult these statements were for a seventh-century desert dweller to process, but the incredible strides in electricity and electronics since then have made such possibilities mundane for most people. In TIME’s Best Inventions of 2002, a Japanese toy-maker is showcased for creating a dog translator; a device on its collar that interprets its yelps, growls, and whines into phrases such as “I can’t stand it”, “how boring”, and “I am lonely.”341 In November of 2006, The New York Times published an article entitled “These Shoes Are Made for Talking,” hailing a new age of futuristic sports training.342 In January of 2010, a security camera app was released which transformed the smart-phones on our hips and in our pockets into windows into our homes.343 Another example is our ability to video chat with family members from afar. Perhaps these are what the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم intended, or perhaps other phenomena that we have yet to experience.

সংক্ষিপ্ততার খাতিরে, আমরা আল্লাহর শেষ নবী মুহাম্মাদ ﷺ-এর বর্ণিত এই যাচাইকৃত ভবিষ্যদ্বাণীগুলোর এই সেটেই সন্তুষ্ট থাকব। তবে উল্লেখযোগ্য যে, নবী ﷺ কিয়ামতের এত নিদর্শনের কথা বর্ণনা করলেও কখনো কোনো নির্দিষ্ট তারিখ বা সময় উল্লেখ করেননি। বরং তিনি একাধিক বার মানুষের কাছে কুরআনের এই আয়াতগুলো তিলাওয়াত করতেন: "বলো, [হে মুহাম্মাদ], 'আসমান ও যমীনে আল্লাহ ছাড়া কেউ গায়েবের খবর জানে না, এবং তারা জানে না কখন তাদের পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে।'"344

For the sake of brevity, we will settle for this set of verified prophecies of God’s final prophet, Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. It is noteworthy, however, that although the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم described so many portents of the end-times, he never specified an exact date or time. Rather, he would on multiple occasions recite to people the likes of these verses from the Qur’an: “Say, [O Muhammad], ‘None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.’”344

যে কেউ যুক্তি দিতে পারেন যে এটিও আরেকটি ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী, অর্থাৎ ইতিহাসে অসংখ্য মানুষ কিয়ামত কখন হবে তার যে নির্দিষ্ট ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করেছেন, সেগুলো ভুল প্রমাণিত হবে। যে কোনো ন্যায়পরায়ণ মানুষ এই ভবিষ্যদ্বাণীগুলোর বিপুল সংখ্যার কথা বিবেচনা করলে এবং ভেবে দেখলে যে আজ থেকে মাত্র ৫০ বছর আগে আমরা নিজেরাও তিনি ﷺ যেসব ঘটনার ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী করেছিলেন তা অনুমান করতে পারতাম না, তাহলে তাঁর প্রতি অবশ্যই মুগ্ধ হবেন। এই ভবিষ্যদ্বাণীগুলোর সংখ্যা ও যথার্থতা বিবেচনা করলে সেগুলোকে তাদের প্রকৃত রূপেই দেখতে হবে: তাঁর নবুওয়াতের অত্যন্ত দৃঢ় ও প্রবল প্রমাণ হিসেবে।

Someone can argue that this too constitutes another prophecy, namely that every specific prediction about when the Final Hour will be—which countless people have made throughout history—will be mistaken. Any fair-minded person who considers the staggering number of these prophecies and reflects that we ourselves 50 years ago could never have predicted the events he صلى الله عليه وسلم predicted, must be impressed by them. Given the number and precision of these prophecies, they must be seen for what they are: overwhelmingly convincing proofs of his prophethood .
