Q 16: What is the position of the two testimonies in Islam?
A ---Seseorang tidak dapat dianggap sebagai Muslim sampai ia mengucapkannya. Allah Yang Maha Kuasa berfirman:
A ---One cannot be regarded a Muslim till he pronounces them. Allah the Almighty says:
Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman hanyalah mereka yang beriman kepada (keesaan Allah dan Rasul-Nya, Muhammad ﷺ) (An-Nur, 62)
The true believers are only those, who believe in (the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) (An-Nur, 62)
Nabi Muhammad ﷺ bersabda:
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) says:
"Aku diperintahkan untuk memerangi manusia hingga mereka bersaksi bahwa tidak ada tuhan selain Allah, dan bahwa Muhammad ﷺ adalah utusan Allah, mendirikan shalat, dan menunaikan zakat. Jika mereka telah melakukan itu, maka darah dan harta mereka terjaga dariku, kecuali dengan hak Islam, dan perhitungan atas mereka ada pada Allah," (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim)
"I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, perform Prayer, and pay Zakah. If they do that, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah ", (Bukhari and Muslim)
