A--- Bid'ah yang tidak menyebabkan kekafiran tidak berarti mengingkari atau menolak Al-Qur'an yang Mulia atau apa pun yang telah diturunkan bersama para Nabi Allah. Seperti bid'ah-bid'ah Bani Marwan yang ditolak oleh para sahabat Nabi yang mulia ﷺ.

A--- The Non-blasphemous Innovation does not imply denying or rejecting the Glorious Qur'an or anything of what has been sent with Allah's Prophets. Such as the Innovations of the Marwanis that were rejected by the dignified companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him).

Namun demikian, para sahabat tidak mengatakan bahwa keluarga Marwan itu kafir, dan mereka pun tidak menarik kembali baiat yang telah mereka berikan kepada mereka. Bid'ah-bid'ah tersebut ialah: mereka menunda pelaksanaan sebagian shalat, mereka menyampaikan khutbah 'Id sebelum shalat, dan mereka mencela sebagian sahabat besar Nabi ﷺ di atas mimbar, dan lain sebagainya. Mereka melakukan hal itu bukan berdasarkan pemikiran hukum apa pun, melainkan hanya karena penafsiran yang keliru, hawa nafsu, dan tujuan-tujuan duniawi.

However, the companions neither said that the Marwanis were disbelievers, nor did they withdraw their pledge of allegiance paid to them. These Innovations were: they used to delay performing some prayers, their delivering the `Id sermon before the Prayer, and their abusing of some of the grand companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) on pulpits, etc. They used to do so not bearing in mind any legal thought, but it was only false interpretations, psychological desires, and worldly purposes.
