"逊奈"（Al-Sunnah）在语言上指"道路、方法"。在教法（shari'ah）中，它是指从先知（SAW）传来的一些属于拥有额外功修（nafl）的功课之名称；而"逊奈"也指来自使者（SAW）的言语、行为和默许。当我们谈论教法的依据时，所有这些都称为逊奈，它们都是经由启示所接受的。安拉至高说：{他不凭私欲而说话}{这不过是降示给他的启示} 第53章《星星》；安拉至高又说：{你说：我只是凭启示而警告你们}第21章《众先知》。

Al–Sunnah linguistically is the method, and in the shari'ah it is the name of some of the supererogatory worships transferred from the Prophet (SAW), and the Sunnah is the name of what came from the messenger (SAW) of saying, action and approval, when we talk about the shari'ahi evidences, all that is the sunnah and it is all what is received by the revelation, Allah Ta'ala said: {Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire} {It is no less than inspiration sent down to him} 3 Surat Al-Najm, and He Ta'ala said: to according you warn but do I :Say revelation…} 45 Surat Al-Anbia'.
