A dawah é um ato de inclinação e encorajamento. Se você chama uma pessoa ao Islã, significa que a inclina para aquilo para o qual a chamou e desperta seu interesse por isso. Portanto, a dawah ao Islã não se restringe apenas à fala, mas inclui tudo o que inclina e desperta interesse, seja pela palavra ou pela ação. Assim, a dawah é transmitida tanto por meio de atos quanto de palavras. O muçulmano, por meio da sua própria adesão, dá o exemplo vivo do que chama as pessoas a seguir com a língua, e manifesta a verdadeira imagem do Islã ao aderir à verdade.

Da’wah is an act of inclination and encouragement. If you call a person to Islam it means you incline him towards what you called him to and generate his interest in it. Therefore, the da’wah to Islam is not restricted to speech only, but includes whatever inclines and creates interest, of speech or action. Thus, the da’wah is conveyed in the form of actions and speech. The Muslim, by his own adherence, gives the living example of what he calls to with his tongue, and manifests the true image of Islam by adhereing to the truth.

Ele disse:

He said:

“E quem é melhor em palavra do que aquele que convoca para Allah e pratica o bem, e diz: ‘Eu sou dos muçulmanos.’” [TMQ 41:33]. E Ele, o Altíssimo, disse:

“And who is better in speech than he who invites (men) to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says:’I am one of the Muslims.’” [TMQ 41:33]. And He the Sublime said:

“Portanto, convide (ó Muhammad) para esta (religião) e mantenha-se firme e reto (neste caminho) como foi ordenado a você.” [TMQ 42:15] O da’wah a Allah é obrigatório, e é uma adoração pela qual o portador do da’wah busca a aproximação de seu Senhor, sabendo que sua posição é elevada, pela qual Allah o eleva neste mundo e na Vida Futura.

“So unto this (deen) invite (O Muhammad ) and stand firm and straight (on this path) as you are commanded.’” [TMQ 42:15] The da’wah to Allah is obligatory and it is a worship with which the da’wah carrier seeks closeness to his Lord, and knows that its status is high, by which Allah raises him in this world and in the Hereafter.

O da‘wah a Allah foi a missão dos Profetas que a empreenderam e, por meio dela, estabeleceram a religião (dīn) de seu Senhor.

The da’wah to Allah was the mission of the Prophets who undertook it and via it they established the deen of their Lord.

Ele disse:

He said:

"E, com certeza, enviamos a cada comunidade um Mensageiro (proclamando):

“And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming):

"Adorai a Allah (somente Ele), e evitai o Taghut (falsas divindades, ídolos etc.)." [TMQ 16:36].

Worship Allah (alone), and avoid the Taghut (false gods, dieties etc).” [TMQ 16:36].

Ele disse:

He said:

“Ó Profeta! Na verdade, Nós te enviamos como testemunha, como portador de boas-novas e como admoestador, e como quem convida a Allah por Sua permissão, e como uma lâmpada que espalha luz.” [TMQ 33:45-46] Assim, nosso nobre Mensageiro ﷺ transmitiu o Islam e admoestou a Ummah. Ele era uma testemunha sobre as pessoas quanto ao que as chamava na dunya, por isso as chamava a testemunhar e pedia a Allah que testemunhasse. Foi isso que ele fez na peregrinação de despedida, quando disse: “...acaso não transmiti? Ó meu Senhor, testemunha.” [Relatado por Bukhari]. Assim, a da’wah é o legado do Profeta ﷺ à sua Ummah, e devemos preservá-la se quisermos preservar o Islam em nós.

“O Prophet! Verily, We have sent you as witness, and a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner - and as one who invites to Allah by His Leave, and as a lamp spreading light.” [TMQ 33:45-46] Thus, our noble Messenger conveyed Islam and admonished the Ummah. He was a witness over people regarding what he called them to in the dunya, so he called them to bear witness and asked Allah to bear witness. This is what he did in the farewell pilgrimage when he said, “...have I conveyed. O my Lord, bear witness” [Reported by Bukhari]. Thus, the da’wah is the legacy of the Prophet to his Ummah, we must preserve it if we are to preserve Islam within us.

Isto ocorre porque não se pode imaginar que o Islã tenha uma presença efetiva sem uma da‘wah que o faça existir.

This is because one cannot imagine Islam to have an effective presence without a da’wah to bring it into existence.

Tampouco se pode imaginar que o Islam permaneça claro na mente de seus seguidores sem uma da'wah que o purifique das trevas e da influência dos pensamentos desviantes.

Nor can one imagine that Islam will remain clear in the minds of its followers without a da’wah which purifies it of the darkness and the effect of deviant thoughts.

Tampouco se pode imaginar que o Islã seja estabelecido sem um da'wah que o estabeleça.

Nor can one imagine that Islam will be established without a da’wah to establish it.

Nem se pode imaginar que o Islã se espalhe de forma sólida sem uma da'wah que o difunda.

Nor can one imagine that Islam will be spread in a strong manner without a da’wah to spread it.

Se não fosse pelo da’wah islâmico, a religião (dīn) não teria se fortalecido, não teria se espalhado, não teria sido protegida, e a ḥujjah (prova) de Allah não teria sido estabelecida contra Suas criaturas.

If it was not for the Islamic da’wah the deen would not have become strong, it would not have spread, it would not have been protected and the hujja (proof) of Allah would not have been established against His creation.

Assim, pela da'wah ao Islã, ela retorna à sua antiga glória e à sua existência poderosa, e o quanto precisamos disso com urgência hoje.

Thus, by the da’wah to Islam, it returns to its former glory and powerful existence, and how urgently we need that today.

Com a da'wah ao Islã, o Islã se difunde entre todos os povos, e a religião, toda ela, será para Allah. O mundo de hoje tem urgente necessidade dessa da'wah.

With the da’wah to Islam, Islam is disseminated amongst all peoples and the deen, all of it, will be for Allah. The world today is in urgent need of this da’wah.

Com a da'wah ao Islã, a prova do muçulmano se manifesta, e a prova do incrédulo é cortada, e assim ele não será desculpado por seu abandono do Islã. Ele diz:

With the da’wah to Islam the proof of the Muslim manifests, and the proof of the kaafir is cut and so he will not be excused for his abandonement of Islam. He says:

“Mensageiros como portadores de boas novas, bem como advertidores, para que os homens não tenham argumento algum contra Allah depois dos Mensageiros. E Allah é Poderoso, Sábio.” [TMQ 4:165] Por essa razão, a da‘wah ao Islam ganhou importância entre os muçulmanos, e os primeiros muçulmanos, a começar pelo Profeta ﷺ, a empreenderam, dedicando-lhe a mesma atenção que davam à religião.

“Messengers as bearers of good news, as well as warners, in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All- Powerful, All-Wise.” [TMQ 4:165] For this reason, the da’wah to Islam gained its importance amongst Muslims, and the first early Muslims starting with the Prophet undertook it, and they gave it the same attention they gave to the deen.

Se não tivesse havido a da'wah ao Islã, o Islã não nos teria chegado e centenas de milhões de pessoas não o teriam abraçado; na verdade, o Islã não teria ido além do Mensageiro ﷺ. Assim, a primeira coisa revelada ao Mensageiro ﷺ foi o Seu dito:

Had there not been da’wah to Islam, Islam would not have reached us and hundreds of millions of people would not have embraced it; rather Islam would not have gone beyond the Messenger . So the first thing revelaed to the Messenger was His saying:

"Leia!" [TMQ 96:1]. Ele lhe ordenou que lesse por si mesmo e que o lesse para as pessoas. Um dos primeiros versículos revelados a ele foi Seu dizer:

“Read!’ [TMQ 96:1]. He ordered him to read himself and to read it to the people. One of the earliest ayaat revealed to him was His saying:

"Levante-se e advirta!" [TMQ 74:2] Assim, a da'wah do Mensageiro ﷺ trouxe o Islã em todos os seus aspectos e produziu os primeiros muçulmanos, que foram os melhores em carregar o Khayr (Islã) como uma Mensagem depois do Mensageiro ﷺ. A da'wah daqueles muçulmanos levou o Islã àqueles que vieram depois deles. Desta maneira, e em nosso tempo presente, a da'wah deve continuar até a Hora Final.

“Arise and warn!” [TMQ 74:2] Thus, the Da’wah of the Messenger brought about Islam in all its aspects, and produced the first Muslims who were the best in carrying the Khayr (Islam) as a Message after the Messenger . The da’wah of those Muslims carried Islam to those who came after them. Thus, in this manner and our present time, the da’wah must continue until the Final Hour.

Portanto, a da'wah em relação ao Islam é como a corrente em relação à água; assim como a água irriga, sacia a sede e traz bem às pessoas, ela precisa de alguém que a transporte. Da mesma forma, o Islam, que é a verdadeira religião e o modo correto de vida, também precisa de alguém que o carregue e leve o seu bem, de modo a irrigar, saciar e guiar aquele que busca o bom agrado de Allah.

Therefore, the da’wah in relation to Islam is like the flow in relation to water; just as the water irrigates, quenches the thirst and gives goodness to the people, it needs someone to carry it. In the same way Islam, which is the true deen and the correct way of life, also needs someone to carry it, and carry its goodness, so as to irrigate and quench and guide the one who follows the good Pleasure of Allah .

Portanto, a forte relação entre o Islã e a da'wah torna-se evidente.

Therefore, the strong relationship between Islam and the da’wah becomes apparent.

Por essa razão, a da'wah é um pilar fundamental e um assunto vital no Islã. O Islã precisa da da'wah para exercer influência, e precisa da da'wah para se espalhar. A era da da'wah é a era do próprio Islã, desde o seu início, até que Allah herde a terra e aqueles que nela habitam.

For this reason, the da’wah is a fundemental pillar and a vital matter in Islam. Islam needs the da’wah to generate influence with it, and it needs the da’wah to spread. The age of the da’wah is the age of Islam itself, ever since it started, until Allah inherits the earth and those inhabiting it.

Portanto, a da'wah deve receber a sua devida importância na vida dos muçulmanos. Os muçulmanos devem estar ocupados com a da'wah, à qual devem dedicar o seu tempo e empenhar os seus esforços.

Therefore, the da’wah must be given its due importance in the life of the Muslims. The Muslims must be preoccupied by the da’wah for which they must spend their time and exert their effort.
