Existe a visão de que o avanço científico e tecnológico encontrado no Ocidente é fruto da Democracia. Aqueles que defendem tal visão não conhecem os fatos desta questão. Isto porque as invenções baseadas em experimentos científicos são coisas que Allah (SWT) permitiu que a mente humana alcançasse, e elas não estão ligadas a um ponto de vista. Vemos isso entre capitalistas, comunistas e muçulmanos, e com qualquer pessoa que permita que sua mente avance livremente. Nenhuma religião ou ideologia tem qualquer efeito nisto, exceto do ponto de vista de saber se a ideologia permite as ciências e autoriza o uso da mente, ou se ela se coloca no caminho, como fez a igreja no passado? É bem sabido que a ideologia islâmica não apenas permite o exame e a compreensão das coisas, mas também o torna obrigatório, no que diz respeito à preparação do poder material necessário para a soberania da ideologia.
