O Departamento de Guerra trata de todas as questões relacionadas às forças armadas, sejam elas o exército, a polícia, o equipamento bélico, o material de guerra, as munições ou questões semelhantes. Também abrange as academias militares, as missões militares e tudo o que for necessário da cultura islâmica e da cultura geral indispensável ao exército, bem como qualquer outro assunto relacionado à guerra e à preparação para ela.

The War Department undertakes all issues related to the armed forces, whether they are the army, police, weapons equipment, war material, ammunitions or similar issues. They also include the military academies, military missions and whatever is needed of Islamic culture and general culture necessary for the army as well as anything else related to the war and preparation for it.

Tudo isso é empreendido e supervisionado pelo Departamento de Guerra. Seu nome está ligado a combate e luta. A guerra exige um exército, e o exército exige preparação e formação, incluindo seus quadros de comando, oficiais e soldados.

All this is undertaken and supervised by the War Department. Its name is connected with warfare and fighting. Warfare requires an army and the army requires preparation and formation including its staff commanders, officers and soldiers.

O exército possui suas bandeiras e estandartes. Sua formação exige treinamento, tanto físico quanto técnico, o que inclui treinamento nas técnicas de combate com diversas armas, de acordo com o avanço tecnológico contemporâneo. Portanto, é imperativo que o exército empreenda estudos militares e técnicos e adquira treinamento em táticas de combate, bem como no uso de todas as mais recentes variedades de armamentos de toda espécie.

The army has its flags and banners. Its formation requires training, both physical and technical, which includes training in the fighting techniques using various weapons, according to contemporary advancement in technology. Therefore, it is imperative for the army to undertake military and technical study and to acquire training in fighting tactics, and the use of all the latest variety all manner of weapononry.

Visto que o exército é um exército islâmico e que é o exército do Estado do Califado que transmite a Da'wa islâmica ao mundo, é, portanto, imperativo que as forças armadas adquiram a cultura islâmica em geral, e a cultura islâmica específica relacionada com as normas do combate, da paz, das tréguas, dos tratados e dos acordos, incluindo todos os pormenores exigidos. Por isso, todas as academias militares, a todos os níveis, e todas as missões militares estão sob a alçada do Departamento de Guerra.

Since the army is an Islamic army and since it is the army of the Khilafah state which carries the Islamic Da’wa to the world, it is therefore imperative for the armed forces to acquire Islamic culture in general, and the specific Islamic culture related to the rules of fighting, peace, truces, treaties, agreements including all the detail required. Therefore, all military academies at various levels and military missions all fall under the mandate of the Department of War.

As Forças Armadas devem incluir também uma divisão encarregada da segurança interna, ou seja, a polícia. Tanto as Forças Armadas quanto a polícia devem dispor de todas as armas, equipamentos, suprimentos e provisões necessários para cumprir o seu dever. É por essa razão que todas essas tarefas estão sob a responsabilidade do Departamento de Guerra.

The armed forces must include also a division that is in charge of internal security i.e. the police. Both the armed forces and the police should have all the weapons, equipment, supplies and the necessary provisions they need to carry out their duty. This is why all these tasks fall under the Department of War.
