পবিত্র কুরআন ঘটনা ও পরিস্থিতি অনুযায়ী অংশে অংশে রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ-এর উপর অবতীর্ণ হয়েছিল, এবং প্রতিবার কোনো আয়াত অবতীর্ণ হলে তিনি ﷺ তা সঙ্গে সঙ্গে পৌঁছে দিতেন। আয়াতে কোনো আদেশ থাকলে তিনি ﷺ ও মুসলিমগণ তৎক্ষণাৎ তা বাস্তবায়ন করতেন, আর আয়াতে কোনো নিষেধ থাকলে তিনি ﷺ ও মুসলিমগণ সঙ্গে সঙ্গে তা থেকে বিরত থাকতেন ও দূরে থাকতেন। বিধানসমূহের বাস্তবায়ন অবতীর্ণ হওয়ার পর কোনো বিলম্ব ছাড়াই সাথে সাথে কার্যকর হতো। যে বিধানই অবতীর্ণ হতো, তা অবতীর্ণ হওয়ার মুহূর্ত থেকেই বাস্তবায়ন ও কার্যকর করার যোগ্য হয়ে যেত, যতক্ষণ না আল্লাহ সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা'আলা এই দ্বীনকে পূর্ণ করেন এবং তাঁর এই বাণী অবতীর্ণ করেন: “আজ আমি তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের দ্বীনকে পরিপূর্ণ করলাম, তোমাদের উপর আমার নেয়ামত সম্পূর্ণ করলাম এবং তোমাদের জন্য ইসলামকে দ্বীন হিসেবে মনোনীত করলাম।” [TMQ Al-Ma’idah: 3]

The Holy Qur’an was revealed to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) in parts according to the events and incidents, and each time a verse was revealed, He (pbuh) would convey it at once. If the verse contained a command, He (pbuh) and the Muslims would execute it at once and if the verse contained a prohibition, He (pbuh) and the Muslims would at once refrain and abstain from doing it. The implementation of the rules used to take immediate effect after their revelation, without any delay. The rule that was revealed would become due for implementation and execution the moment it is revealed, whatever the rule was, until Allah (swt) completed this Deen and revealed His (swt) saying; “Today I have completed your Deen for you completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your Deen.” [TMQ Al-Ma’idah: 3]
