Da'wa ist ein Akt der Hinneigung und der Ermutigung. Wenn du einen Menschen zum Islam rufst, bedeutet das, dass du ihn zu dem hinneigen lässt, wozu du ihn rufst, und in ihm Interesse daran weckst. Deshalb beschränkt sich die Da'wa zum Islam nicht auf das Wort allein, sondern umfasst alles, was hinneigen lässt und Interesse weckt, sei es Rede oder Handlung. So wird die Da'wa sowohl in Form von Taten als auch in Form von Worten vermittelt. Der Muslim gibt durch sein eigenes Festhalten das lebendige Beispiel dessen, wozu er mit seiner Zunge aufruft, und zeigt durch das Festhalten an der Wahrheit das wahre Bild des Islam.

Da’wah is an act of inclination and encouragement. If you call a person to Islam it means you incline him towards what you called him to and generate his interest in it. Therefore, the da’wah to Islam is not restricted to speech only, but includes whatever inclines and creates interest, of speech or action. Thus, the da’wah is conveyed in the form of actions and speech. The Muslim, by his own adherence, gives the living example of what he calls to with his tongue, and manifests the true image of Islam by adhereing to the truth.

Er sagte:

He said:

„Und wer ist besser im Wort als jemand, der zu Allah einlädt, rechtschaffene Taten vollbringt und sagt: ‚Ich bin einer der Muslime.‘“ [TMQ 41:33]. Und Er, der Erhabene, sprach:

“And who is better in speech than he who invites (men) to Allah and does righteous deeds, and says:’I am one of the Muslims.’” [TMQ 41:33]. And He the Sublime said:

„Dazu also sollst du (o Muhammad ﷺ) einladen und standhaft und aufrecht (auf diesem Weg) bleiben, wie dir befohlen wurde.“ [TMQ 42:15] Die Da'wa zu Allah ist verpflichtend, und sie ist ein Gottesdienst, mit dem der Träger der Da'wa die Nähe zu seinem Herrn sucht. Er weiß, dass ihr Rang hoch ist, und dass Allah ihn dadurch in dieser Welt und im Jenseits erhöht.

“So unto this (deen) invite (O Muhammad ) and stand firm and straight (on this path) as you are commanded.’” [TMQ 42:15] The da’wah to Allah is obligatory and it is a worship with which the da’wah carrier seeks closeness to his Lord, and knows that its status is high, by which Allah raises him in this world and in the Hereafter.

Die Da'wah zu Allah war die Mission der Propheten, die sie auf sich nahmen, und durch sie errichteten sie die Religion (Din) ihres Herrn.

The da’wah to Allah was the mission of the Prophets who undertook it and via it they established the deen of their Lord.

Er sagte:

He said:

„Und wahrlich, Wir haben in jeder Gemeinschaft einen Gesandten entsandt, (der verkündete):

“And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming):

„Dient Allah (allein) und meidet die Taghut (falsche Götter, Gottheiten usw.)." [TMQ 16:36].

Worship Allah (alone), and avoid the Taghut (false gods, dieties etc).” [TMQ 16:36].

Er sagte:

He said:

„O Prophet! Wahrlich, Wir haben dich als Zeugen gesandt, als Verkünder froher Botschaft und als Warner – und als jemanden, der mit Seiner Erlaubnis zu Allah einlädt, und als eine leuchtende Lampe.“ [TMQ 33:45-46] So verkündete unser edler Gesandter ﷺ den Islam und ermahnte die Ummah. Er war ein Zeuge über die Menschen hinsichtlich dessen, wozu er sie im Diesseits aufrief, und so rief er sie dazu auf, Zeugnis abzulegen, und bat Allah, Zeugnis abzulegen. Dies tat er bei der Abschiedspilgerfahrt, als er sprach: „…habe ich es übermittelt? O mein Herr, bezeuge es“ [überliefert von Bukhari]. Die Da‘wah ist somit das Vermächtnis des Propheten ﷺ an seine Ummah; wir müssen sie bewahren, wenn wir den Islam in uns bewahren wollen.

“O Prophet! Verily, We have sent you as witness, and a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner - and as one who invites to Allah by His Leave, and as a lamp spreading light.” [TMQ 33:45-46] Thus, our noble Messenger conveyed Islam and admonished the Ummah. He was a witness over people regarding what he called them to in the dunya, so he called them to bear witness and asked Allah to bear witness. This is what he did in the farewell pilgrimage when he said, “...have I conveyed. O my Lord, bear witness” [Reported by Bukhari]. Thus, the da’wah is the legacy of the Prophet to his Ummah, we must preserve it if we are to preserve Islam within us.

Das liegt daran, dass man sich den Islam nicht als wirksam präsent vorstellen kann, ohne eine Da'wah, die ihn ins Dasein bringt.

This is because one cannot imagine Islam to have an effective presence without a da’wah to bring it into existence.

Auch kann man sich nicht vorstellen, dass der Islam in den Köpfen seiner Anhänger klar bleibt, ohne eine Da'wah, die ihn von der Finsternis und dem Einfluss abweichender Gedanken reinigt.

Nor can one imagine that Islam will remain clear in the minds of its followers without a da’wah which purifies it of the darkness and the effect of deviant thoughts.

Ebenso kann man sich nicht vorstellen, dass der Islam etabliert wird, ohne dass es eine Da'wah gibt, die ihn etabliert.

Nor can one imagine that Islam will be established without a da’wah to establish it.

Man kann sich auch nicht vorstellen, dass sich der Islam auf kraftvolle Weise verbreiten wird, ohne dass es eine Da'wah gibt, um ihn zu verbreiten.

Nor can one imagine that Islam will be spread in a strong manner without a da’wah to spread it.

Hätte es die islamische Da'wah nicht gegeben, wäre die Religion (Deen) nicht stark geworden, sie hätte sich nicht verbreitet, sie wäre nicht bewahrt worden, und der Beweis (Hujja) Allahs gegen Seine Schöpfung wäre nicht erbracht worden.

If it was not for the Islamic da’wah the deen would not have become strong, it would not have spread, it would not have been protected and the hujja (proof) of Allah would not have been established against His creation.

So gelangt man durch den Da'wah zum Islam zu seiner früheren Größe und mächtigen Existenz zurück, und wie dringend wir das heute brauchen.

Thus, by the da’wah to Islam, it returns to its former glory and powerful existence, and how urgently we need that today.

Mit der Da'wah zum Islam verbreitet sich der Islam unter allen Völkern, und die Religion, alle ihre Teile, wird ganz Allah gehören. Die Welt von heute bedarf dringend dieser Da'wah.

With the da’wah to Islam, Islam is disseminated amongst all peoples and the deen, all of it, will be for Allah. The world today is in urgent need of this da’wah.

Mit der Da'wah zum Islam wird der Beweis gegen den Muslim offenbar, und der Beweis gegen den Kāfir wird abgeschnitten, sodass er für seine Abkehr vom Islam nicht entschuldigt wird. Er sagt:

With the da’wah to Islam the proof of the Muslim manifests, and the proof of the kaafir is cut and so he will not be excused for his abandonement of Islam. He says:

„Gesandte als Überbringer froher Botschaft ebenso wie als Warner, damit die Menschen nach den Gesandten keinen Einwand gegen Allah haben. Und Allah ist allmächtig und allweise.“ [TMQ 4:165] Aus diesem Grund erlangte die Da'wah zum Islam unter den Muslimen ihre Bedeutung, und die ersten frühen Muslime, beginnend mit dem Propheten ﷺ, nahmen sie auf sich und widmeten ihr dieselbe Aufmerksamkeit, die sie der Religion (ad-Dīn) schenkten.

“Messengers as bearers of good news, as well as warners, in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All- Powerful, All-Wise.” [TMQ 4:165] For this reason, the da’wah to Islam gained its importance amongst Muslims, and the first early Muslims starting with the Prophet undertook it, and they gave it the same attention they gave to the deen.

Hätte es die Da'wa zum Islam nicht gegeben, wäre der Islam nicht zu uns gelangt, und hunderte Millionen Menschen hätten ihn nicht angenommen; vielmehr wäre der Islam nicht über den Gesandten hinaus gegangen. Das Erste, was dem Gesandten ﷺ offenbart wurde, war Sein Wort:

Had there not been da’wah to Islam, Islam would not have reached us and hundreds of millions of people would not have embraced it; rather Islam would not have gone beyond the Messenger . So the first thing revelaed to the Messenger was His saying:

„Lies!“ [TMQ 96:1]. Er befahl ihm, selbst zu lesen und es den Menschen vorzutragen. Einer der frühesten Verse, die ihm offenbart wurden, ist Sein Wort:

“Read!’ [TMQ 96:1]. He ordered him to read himself and to read it to the people. One of the earliest ayaat revealed to him was His saying:

„Steh auf und warne!“ [TMQ 74:2] So brachte die Da'wah des Gesandten ﷺ den Islam in all seinen Aspekten hervor und ließ die ersten Muslime entstehen, die nach dem Gesandten ﷺ am besten darin waren, das Khayr (den Islam) als Botschaft zu tragen. Die Da'wah jener Muslime trug den Islam zu denen, die nach ihnen kamen. Auf diese Weise muss die Da'wah auch in unserer heutigen Zeit bis zur Stunde des Jüngsten Gerichts fortgeführt werden.

“Arise and warn!” [TMQ 74:2] Thus, the Da’wah of the Messenger brought about Islam in all its aspects, and produced the first Muslims who were the best in carrying the Khayr (Islam) as a Message after the Messenger . The da’wah of those Muslims carried Islam to those who came after them. Thus, in this manner and our present time, the da’wah must continue until the Final Hour.

Daher verhält sich die Da'wah zum Islam wie der Fluss zum Wasser: So wie das Wasser bewässert, den Durst stillt und den Menschen Gutes bringt, braucht es jemanden, der es trägt. Ebenso braucht der Islam, der die wahre Religion und der rechte Lebensweg ist, jemanden, der ihn trägt und sein Gutes weitergibt, damit er bewässert, stillt und denjenigen leitet, der dem Wohlgefallen Allahs folgt.

Therefore, the da’wah in relation to Islam is like the flow in relation to water; just as the water irrigates, quenches the thirst and gives goodness to the people, it needs someone to carry it. In the same way Islam, which is the true deen and the correct way of life, also needs someone to carry it, and carry its goodness, so as to irrigate and quench and guide the one who follows the good Pleasure of Allah .

Daher wird die enge Beziehung zwischen dem Islam und der Da'wah deutlich.

Therefore, the strong relationship between Islam and the da’wah becomes apparent.

Aus diesem Grund ist die Da'wah ein grundlegender Pfeiler und eine lebenswichtige Angelegenheit im Islam. Der Islam braucht die Da'wah, um mit ihr Einfluss zu entfalten, und er braucht die Da'wah, um sich auszubreiten. Das Zeitalter der Da'wah ist das Zeitalter des Islam selbst, seit seinem Beginn, bis Allah die Erde und diejenigen, die auf ihr wohnen, beerbt.

For this reason, the da’wah is a fundemental pillar and a vital matter in Islam. Islam needs the da’wah to generate influence with it, and it needs the da’wah to spread. The age of the da’wah is the age of Islam itself, ever since it started, until Allah inherits the earth and those inhabiting it.

Daher muss dem Da'wah im Leben der Muslime seine gebührende Bedeutung beigemessen werden. Die Muslime müssen sich mit dem Da'wah beschäftigen, wofür sie ihre Zeit aufwenden und ihre Anstrengung einsetzen müssen.

Therefore, the da’wah must be given its due importance in the life of the Muslims. The Muslims must be preoccupied by the da’wah for which they must spend their time and exert their effort.
