Louange à Allah. Ayant constaté de première main la passion que le Shaykh Mohammad Elshinawy portait au sujet de ce livre, je savais que sa vigueur intellectuelle se mêlerait à la passion de l'auteur pour produire un chef-d'œuvre.
All praise be to Allah. Noticing firsthand the passion Shaykh Mohammad Elshinawy had for the subject of this book, I knew its intellectual vigor would be mixed with the author’s passion to produce a masterpiece.
Il n'est pas de sujet auquel je puisse penser qui nécessite plus notre attention et notre dévouement que les preuves de la prophétie. En une époque d'incertitude, de scepticisme et de cynisme, il n'y a rien de plus important que d'aider les gens à bâtir une certitude envers une vérité des plus saillantes : la prophétie de Muhammad ﷺ. C'est cette certitude qui leur ouvrira largement les portes de la paix intérieure et du bonheur dans cette vie et dans la vie à venir.
There is no subject I can think of that needs our attention and dedication more than the proofs of prophethood. In an age of uncertainty, skepticism, and cynicism, there is nothing more important than helping people build certainty in a most salient truth: the prophethood of Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). It is that certainty that will open wide for them the gates to inner peace and happiness in this life and the one to come.
L'ouvrage couvre un large éventail de preuves, allant de la nécessité historique de l'envoi du Prophète ﷺ aux plus grands de ses miracles — le Qur'an inimitable — sans négliger son caractère, ses accomplissements, son message, ses prophéties et ses miracles physiques. Il possède l'intégrité académique nécessaire sans en avoir l'austérité émotionnelle. Il est détaillé, sans être superflu.
The book covers a wide array of proofs from the historical necessity of the Prophet’s dispatchment to the greatest of his miracles—the inimitable Qur’an—without neglecting his character, accomplishments, message, prophecies, and physical miracles. It has the necessary academic integrity without its emotional austerity. It is detailed, yet not superfluous.
Que vous accordiez plus d'importance à l'approche évidentialiste ou naturaliste de la foi en Dieu, les preuves de la prophétie devraient faire partie intégrante de la foi en Islam. Une approche probabiliste utilisant le raisonnement inductif n'exclut pas l'obtention de la certitude par son intermédiaire. Si les arguments sont forts et nombreux, la certitude peut alors être atteinte. Elle peut ensuite être davantage ancrée par l'expérience spirituelle et l'illumination.
Whether you place more importance on the evidentialist or naturalist approach to faith in God, the proofs of prophethood should be an integral part of faith in Islam. A probabilistic approach using inductive reasoning does not preclude the attainment of certainty through it. If the arguments are strong and plentiful, then certainty can still be achieved. It can then be further grounded by spiritual experience and enlightenment.
En plus de l'importance du sujet, je trouve également un grand plaisir à écrire une préface pour ce livre en raison de son auteur, envers qui j'ai de grandes attentes, et j'espère qu'Allah l'utilisera pour servir la cause de l'Islam dans ce pays et à travers le monde.
In addition to the importance of the subject, I also find great pleasure in writing a foreword for this book because of its author of whom I have great expectations, and I hope that Allah will use him in serving the cause of Islam in this land and around the globe.
Que les bénédictions et la paix de Dieu soient sur celui qu'Il a envoyé comme une miséricorde pour toutes les créatures, le sceau des prophètes et le plus grand des messagers, Muhammad ﷺ.
