قال رسول الله ﷺ: «العين حق». (رواه البخاري ومسلم)

A--- Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) says: "The effect of an evil eye is a fact.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

عن أم سلمة رضي الله عنها: أن النبي ﷺ رأى في بيتها جارية في وجهها سفعة، فقال: «إن بها نظرة فاسترقوا لها». [البخاري ومسلم]

Narrated Umm. Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her): That the Prophet (Peace be upon him) saw in her house a girl whose face had a black spot. He said. "She is under the effect of an evil eye, so treat her with a Ruqyah.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: أَمَرَنِي النبيُّ ﷺ، أو أَمَرَ غيري، أن أَسْتَرْقِيَ من العين. [البخاري ومسلم]

Narrated `A'ishah (May Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet (Peace be upon him) ordered me or somebody else to do Ruqyah (if there was danger) from an evil eye.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

قَالَ ﷺ: «لَا رُقْيَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حُمَّةٍ». (رواه الإمام أحمد)

He (Peace be upon him) says: "No Ruqyah is allowed but for an evil eye or fever." (Imam Ahmed)

وهناك روايات أخرى تسير في هذا المنحى يمكن العثور عليها بين الأحاديث الصحيحة. لكن ينبغي أن نعلم أن العين لا تكون مؤثرة ما لم يشأ الله تعالى ذلك. وبهذا فسّر كثير من علمائنا السابقين الآية الكريمة: {وَإِن يَكَادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ} (القلم: 51).

Other narrations that go in the same vein can be found among the authentic Hadiths. But, we should know that the evil eye can not be effective unless Allah the Almighty wills. With this, the following verse was interpreted by many of our earlier scholars: {And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes (through hatred) when they hear the Reminder (the Qur'an)}.
