Los asistentes son los walíes (visires) que el califa designa para que le ayuden a cargar con las obligaciones y responsabilidades del califato. Son muchas las cargas del califato, especialmente cuando el Estado crece y se expande, y serían una pesada carga para el califa por sí solo. Por ello, necesita personas que le ayuden a llevar esta carga y a cumplir estas responsabilidades. El nombramiento de tales asistentes es uno de los asuntos permitidos (mubah).

The assistants are the Wazirs whom the Khaleefah appoints to assist Him in discharging the burdens and responsibilities of the Khilafah. There are numerous burdens in the Khilafah, especially when the state is growing and expanding, and these would be a heavy burden for the Khaleefah alone. Hence, He needs people to help Him in carrying this burden and discharging these responsibilities. The appointment of such assistants is one of the Mubah matters.

Los asistentes que el Jalifa designa para ayudarle a cargar con la responsabilidad del Califato son de dos tipos: los asistentes delegados y los asistentes ejecutivos.

The assistants whom the Khaleefah appoints to help Him in carrying the burden of the Khilafah are of two types: the delegated assistants and the executive assistants.
