अल्लाह, सर्वोच्च, फ़रमाता है, {और उस बात के पीछे न पड़ो जिसका तुम्हें ज्ञान नहीं, क्योंकि निश्चय ही कान, आँख और दिल, इन सबसे पूछताछ की जाएगी।} (अल-इसरा: 36)

Allah, Most High says, {And pursue not that of which thou hast no knowledge, for surely the hearing, the sight, the learnt all of those shall be questioned of.} (AI-Isra': 36)

इस आयत की व्याख्या में अल-वाहिदी ने अल-कल्बी की टिप्पणी उद्धृत की कि बेकार की जिज्ञासा और बिना प्रमाण वाली रिवायतें निंदनीय हैं। अल-वाहिदी ने कहा कि हमसे हमारी हर उस इंद्रिय और शक्ति के उपयोग का हिसाब लिया जाएगा जो हमें दी गई है।

Elaborating on the above Ayah AI-Wahidi reported AI-Kalbi's commentary that idle curiosity and undocumented reports are condemned. AI-Wahidi said, we should be called to accounted for the exercise of every faculty that has been given to us.

{वही (अकेला) परोक्ष (ग़ैब) को जानता है, और वह अपने रहस्यों पर किसी को अवगत नहीं कराता। सिवाय उस रसूल के जिसे उसने चुन लिया हो।} (अल-जिन्न: 26)

{He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make anyone acquainted with his secrets. Except a Messenger whom he has chosen.} (AI-Jin: 26)

इसलिए, जो व्यक्ति यह मानता है कि तारों के मार्गदर्शन से हम परोक्ष (गैब) की बातों को प्रकट कर सकते हैं, वह काफ़िर है।

Thus, whoever believes that we can disclose the unseen guided by stars is an unbeliever.

नबी ﷺ ने फ़रमाया: "जो कोई किसी ज्योतिषी (अर्राफ़) या भविष्यवक्ता के पास जाए और उसकी कही बात पर विश्वास करे, तो उसने उस चीज़ का इनकार किया जो मुहम्मद ﷺ पर उतारी गई है।"1

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Whoever goes to a psychic (`Arraf) or a fortuneteller and believes what he says disbelieves in what has been revealed to Muhammad.”1

नबी ﷺ ने फ़रमाया: "अल्लाह, सर्वोच्च, फ़रमाता है: 'मेरे बंदों में से एक सुबह मोमिन होकर उठता है और दूसरा काफ़िर होकर। जो कहता है, "हमें अल्लाह के फ़ज़्ल से बारिश मिली," वह मुझ पर ईमान रखने वाला और सितारों का इनकारी है। लेकिन जो कहता है, "हमें फ़लाँ मंज़िल (चाँद की मंज़िल) के असर से बारिश मिली," वह मेरा इनकारी और सितारों पर ईमान रखने वाला है।'" 2

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Allah, Most High says, "One of my servants reaches daybreak a believer, another an unbeliever. He who says," we have received rain by Allah's grace" is a believer in me and a disbeliever in planets. But he who says," we have received rain by the effects of such and such a mansion of the moon" is an unbeliever in me and a believer in planets.” 2

उलेमा ने कहा है कि जो व्यक्ति यह मानता है कि ग्रहों का प्रभाव अल्लाह की इच्छा से स्वतंत्र है, वह काफ़िर है। लेकिन यह मानने में कोई हर्ज नहीं कि किसी (ग्रह या तारे) का उदय होना वर्षा की निशानी है।

Scholars said, if someone thinks planets have an influence independent of the will of Allah, he is an unbeliever. But there is no harm to think that some is a sign of rain.

जो कोई किसी ज्योतिषी (काहिन) के पास जाए, उससे किसी चीज़ के बारे में पूछे, और उसकी बात पर विश्वास करे, उसकी नमाज़ चालीस दिन तक क़बूल नहीं होगी।” 3

"Whoever goes to a psychic, asks him about something, and believes him, will not have his prayer accepted for forty days.” 3

आइशा (रज़ि.) से रिवायत है कि कुछ लोगों ने नबी ﷺ से काहिनों (भविष्यवक्ताओं) के बारे में पूछा।

'Aishah related that some people solicited from the holy Prophet (pbuh) in formation about soothsayers.

उन्होंने कहा, "वे ढोंग और बकवास हैं।" सहाबा ने पूछा, "ऐ अल्लाह के रसूल! कभी-कभी वे कोई ऐसी बात बताते हैं जो सच हो जाती है।" नबी ﷺ ने समझाया, "यह वह बात है जिसे शैतान इत्तेफ़ाक़ से फ़रिश्तों से सुन लेता है और अपने साथियों तक पहुँचा देता है। वे उसमें सौ झूठ मिलाकर लोगों को बताते हैं।"4

He said, 'They are a humbug and nonsense. The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes they foretell something which comes true." The Prophet (pbuh) explained, "This is something which Satan hears, by chance from the angels, and conveys to his colleagues. They mix a hundred falsehoods with it and tell it to people.”4

`आयशा (रज़ि.) ने बताया कि उन्होंने पैग़म्बर ﷺ को यह फ़रमाते सुना: "फ़रिश्ते आसमान में आदेशों के साथ उतरते हैं और उस बात की चर्चा करते हैं जो आसमान में तय की जा चुकी है, और शैतान इसे चोरी से सुन लेता है और फिर इसे काहिनों (भविष्यवक्ताओं) तक पहुँचाता है, और वे इसमें अपनी ओर से सौ झूठ मिला देते हैं (ताकि अपने ग्राहकों तक पहुँचा सकें)।" 1

`Aishah said that she heard the holy Prophet (pbuh) say, "The angels descend into the atmosphere with heavenly orders, talking about something that has been decreed in heaven, and Satan over-hears this and thereafter communicates it to the soothsayers, who add a hundred falsehoods with it themselves (to convey to their clients).” 1

कुबैसा इब्न अल-मुखारिक़ ने बताया कि उन्होंने अल्लाह के रसूल ﷺ को यह फ़रमाते हुए सुना: "भविष्यवाणी (फ़ाल/कहानत) करना, क़ुरआ (पाँसे या चिट्ठी डालना) करना, या उड़ते पक्षियों को देखकर उनकी उड़ान की दिशा से शुभ-अशुभ का अनुमान लगाना, ये सब शैतानी काम हैं।" 2

Qubaisa Ibn Al-Mukhariq said that he heard the Holy Prophet (pbuh) saying, "Fortune telling, drawing lots or lives and flying birds to find good or bad omens from the direction of their flight, are all devilish practices.” 2

इब्न अब्बास से वर्णित है कि नबी ﷺ ने फ़रमाया, "जो व्यक्ति ज्योतिष (ज्योतिषशास्त्र) सीखता है, मानो वह जादू सीखता है, और वह जितना इसे सीखता है, उतना ही वह जादू में बढ़ता जाता है।" 3

Ibn 'Abbas relates that the holy Prophet (pbuh) said, “A person who learns about astrology, it is as if he learns magic, and the more he learns this, the more he learns about magic.” 3

अल्लाह हमें इससे इस दुनिया में और आख़िरत में बचाए।
