Allah, le Tout-Puissant, dit : {Et n'approchez point la fornication. En vérité, c'est une turpitude et un mauvais chemin.} (Al-Isra' : 32)

Allah, the Almighty, says, {Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is an indecent (deed) and an evil way.} (Al-Isra': 32)

Le Coran déclare également : {Ceux qui n'invoquent rien d'autre qu'Allah, qui ne tuent pas la vie qu'Allah a rendue sacrée, sauf en toute justice, et qui ne commettent pas l'adultère, — et quiconque fait cela rencontrera un châtiment. (Mais) le châtiment sera doublé pour lui, le Jour de la Résurrection, et il y demeurera dans l'ignominie.} (Al-Furqan: 68-70)

The Qur'an also states, {Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, Nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred, except for just cause, nor commit fornication,' -and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. (But) the chastisement on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy.} (Al-Furqan: 68-70)

Allah, le Très-Haut, dit : {La femme et l'homme coupables de fornication, fouettez chacun d'eux de cent coups de fouet : que la compassion ne vous émeuve pas en leur sujet, dans une affaire prescrite par Allah, si vous croyez en Allah et au Jour Dernier :

Allah, the Most High, says, {The woman and the man guilty of fornication, flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day:

« Et qu'un groupe de croyants assiste à leur châtiment. » (An-Nur: 2)

And let a party of the believers witness their punishment.” (An-Nur: 2)

La punition mentionnée dans le dernier verset ne concerne que les fornicateurs célibataires dans ce monde, comme l'ont soutenu les savants. Dans le cas d'adultères mariés (même s'ils ont connu le mariage auparavant), ils doivent être lapidés jusqu'à la mort, comme l'a postulé le Prophète ﷺ. Mais s'ils échappent à la punition terrestre et meurent sans s'être repentis, ils seront torturés dans le Feu de l'Enfer par des coups de fouet de feu.

The punishment mentioned in the last verse concerns only single fornicators in the world as argued by the scholars. In case of married adulterers (even if they experienced marriage before) they must be stoned until death as postulated by the Prophet (pbuh). But if they escaped the worldly punishment and died without making repentance, they will be tortured in the Hell-Fire with lashes of Fire.

Dans les Psaumes, il est rapporté que les adultères seront pendus par leurs parties génitales dans le Feu de l'Enfer, sur lesquelles ils seront fouettés par des entailles de fer. S'ils crient de douleur, les anges du châtiment leur diront : « Où était ce cri inaudible auparavant ? Vous ne faisiez que rire, jouer et vous ne gardiez pas la pensée d'Allah, et vous n'aviez pas de pudeur envers Lui. » Le hadith suivant a été rapporté par le Prophète ﷺ : « L'adultère n'est pas un croyant au moment où il commet l'adultère. » 1

In Psalms, it is narrated that Adulterers will be hanged from their genitals in the hell-Fire, on which they will be scourged with slashes of iron. If they cry out of pain, the angels of punishment will address them, "Where was this cry inaudible before? You just used to laugh, play and did not keep the thought of Allah, nor were you shy from Him." The following hadith was stated by the Prophet (pbuh), "An adulterer is not a believer at the time of committing adultery.” 1

Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Lorsque quelqu'un tombe dans l'adultère, la foi quitte son cœur et l'assombrit, mais s'il s'en extrait, sa foi lui sera restaurée. » 2

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "When someone fell in adultery, faith leaves his heart and overshadows him but if he extricates himself; his faith will, be restored again.” 2

Il a été rapporté que le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a dit : « Quiconque commet la fornication ou consomme du vin, Allah lui ôte sa foi comme un homme ôte sa chemise par-dessus sa tête. » 1

It was related that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Whoever fornicates or drinks wine, Allah takes off his faith from him as a man takes a shirt off over his head.” 1

« Il y a trois personnes auxquelles Allah, le Très-Haut, ne parlera pas, ne leur pardonnera pas leurs péchés et ne les regardera pas : une personne âgée coupable d'adultère, un roi menteur et un mendiant pauvre qui est orgueilleux. » 2

"There are three people to whom Allah, the Most High will not talk, nor will He absolve them of sins nor look at them: an aged person guilty of adultery, a king who lies and a poor beggar who is proud.” 2

D'après Ibn Mas'ud qui a dit : « J'ai demandé au Messager d'Allah ﷺ : "Quel est le péché le plus grave aux yeux d'Allah ?" Il a dit : "Associer d'autres divinités à Allah alors qu'Il t'a créé... et commettre l'adultère avec l'épouse de ton voisin." Allah, le Tout-Puissant, a dit : {Ceux qui n'invoquent rien d'autre qu'Allah, qui ne tuent pas la vie qu'Allah a rendue sacrée, sauf en toute justice, et qui ne commettent pas de fornication ; et quiconque fait cela se verra infliger un châtiment. (Mais) le châtiment sera doublé pour lui, le Jour de la Résurrection, et il y demeurera dans l'ignominie.} (AL-Furqan: 68-69)

On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud who said, "I asked the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), "What is the most grievous sin at the sight of Allah?" He said, "To associate others with Allah whereas He created you... and to commit adultery with your neighbor's wife.” Allah, the Almighty, said, {Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred, except for just cause, nor commit fornication; -and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. (But) the chastisement on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignomity.} (AL-Furqan: 68-69)

Voyez ! Comment l'adultère avec le voisin, le polythéisme et le fait de donner la mort à autrui sans droit sont associés les uns aux autres.

Behold! How adultery with one's neighbor, polytheism and slaying the life of others except for just cause are associated with each other.

Une fois, Ibn Mas'ud demanda au Prophète ﷺ : « Ô Messager d'Allah, quel est le péché le plus odieux ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Considérer qu'Allah a un égal, alors qu'Il t'a créé. » Puis il demanda : « Qu'y a-t-il ensuite ? » Le Prophète ﷺ dit : « Tuer un enfant de peur qu'il ne se nourrisse avec toi. » Il ajouta : « Qu'y a-t-il ensuite ? » Le Prophète ﷺ dit : « Commettre l'adultère avec l'épouse de ton voisin. » 3

Once, Ibn Mas'ud asked the Prophet (P.B.U.H) saying, "0 Messenger of Allah, what is the most heinous sin? The Prophet answered, "To hold that Allah has an equal, whereas He has created you. Further he asked what is next? The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, "To kill child lest he feeds with you. He added, "What is next? The Prophet (P.B. U .H) said, "To commit adultery with your neighbor's wife.” 3

En commentant la parole d'Allah : {Il lui sont ouvertes sept portes ; à chacune de ces portes appartient une classe (de pécheurs) qui lui est assignée.} (Al-Hijr: 44)

When commenting on Allah's statement, {To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a special) class (of sinners) assigne.} (Al-Hijr: 44)

Ata' a dit : « La porte de l'Enfer la plus pénible et la plus détestable est celle qui est réservée aux adultères qui ont commis ce crime après avoir été informés de ses conséquences. »

Ata' said, "The most grievous and hated gate of Hell is that which is assigned for adulterers who committed such crime after they had been informed of its consequences.

Makhul Ad-Dimashqi a dit : « Lorsque les gens de l'Enfer sentent une odeur fétide, ils disent : "Nous n'avons jamais senti d'odeur plus fétide que celle-ci". Ensuite, il leur sera dit que c'est l'odeur des parties génitales des adultères. » Ibn Zayd, l'un des grands exégètes, a dit : « Cette odeur fait souffrir tous les gens de l'Enfer. De tous les commandements prescrits par Allah à Moïse, il y a celui-ci : "Ne volez pas et ne tombez pas dans l'adultère afin de ne pas voiler Ma Face devant vous." Voyez que Moïse est le destinataire, qu'en est-il des autres ? »

Makhul Ad-Dimashqi said, "When the people of the Hell-Fire smell a stinking odor they say, 'We have never smelt an odor more stinking than that, Then, they will be told that this is the odor of the adulterers' genitals. Ibn Zayd, one of great exegesists said, "This odor hurts all the people of the Hell-Fire. Of all commandments prescribed by Allah to Moses is the following, "Do not steal and do not fill into adultery so as not to screen My Face from you." Behold Moses is the addressee, what about the others.

Il a été rapporté que le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Satan (Iblis) envoie souvent ses soldats partout sur la terre en leur disant : "Celui qui détournera un musulman, je le couronnerai. Le plus habile pour détourner les gens sera le plus proche de moi." Pendant ce temps, un démon vient et dit : "J'ai tenté tel et tel jusqu'à ce qu'il divorce de sa femme." Iblis dit : "Tu n'as rien fait. Il épousera une autre femme." Un autre vient et dit : "J'ai tenté tel et tel jusqu'à ce que je crée une rancœur entre lui et son frère." Iblis dit : "Tu n'as rien fait. Il se réconciliera avec lui." Finalement, un autre démon vient et dit : "J'ai tenté tel et tel jusqu'à ce qu'il tombe dans l'adultère." Iblis dit : "Grand bien te fasse. C'est bien." Puis il le rapproche de lui et le couronne. »1

It was reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said, "Satan (Iblis) often sends his soldiers every where in the earth saying to them, 'Whoever diverts a Muslim I will crown him. The most skillful one in diverting people, the nearest to me. Meanwhile, a devil comes and says, "I kept tempting such and such until he divorced his wife.' Iblis says, 'You did nothing. He will marry another woman.' Another comes and says, 'I kept tempting such and such until I created a grudge between him and his brother’ Iblis says, 'You did nothing. He will reconcile with him.’ Eventually comes another devil who says, 'I kept tempting such and such until he fell in adultery.’ Iblis says, 'Great and well done. I Then he makes him nearer to him and crowns him.”1

Nous cherchons refuge auprès d'Allah contre les maux de Satan et de ses soldats.

We seek Allah's refuge from the evils of Satan and his soldiers.

Il a été rapporté d'après Anas que le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « La foi est comme un vêtement avec lequel Allah couvre qui Il veut. Mais s'il commet l'adultère, ce vêtement lui sera retiré, et s'il se repent, Il le lui rendra à nouveau. »2

It was reported that on the authority of Anas that the Prophet (pbuh) said, "Faith is like a garment with which Allah covers whomever He likes. But if he falls in adultery, this garment will be taken off and if he repents He will restore it again.”2

Le Prophète ﷺ a également dit : « Ô Musulmans, prenez garde à l'adultère. Il entraîne six conséquences : trois dans ce monde et les autres dans l'au-delà. Quant aux conséquences mondaines, ce sont un visage pâle, une vie courte et une longue pauvreté. Les conséquences dans l'au-delà sont : la colère d'Allah, un jugement sévère et le châtiment dans le Feu. »3

The Prophet (pbuh) also said, "0 Muslims, be aware of adultery. It entails six consequences: Three in this world and the others in the next. As for the worldly consequences, they are a pale face, short life and long poverty. The consequences in the Hereafter are: The wrath of Allah, a severe reckoning and torture in Fire.”3

Le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a dit : « Quiconque persiste à boire du vin et meurt ainsi, Allah le fera boire au fleuve de Ghuta, un fleuve qui coule des parties génitales des prostituées. »⁴ Dans le Feu, il y aura du pus coulant des parties génitales des prostituées qui sera offert à quiconque meurt en persistant à boire du vin.

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Whoever persists in drinking wine and then dies, Allah will make him drink from the river of Ghuta, a river flows the genitals of the whores.”4 In the Fire there will be pus flowing from the whores' genitals that which will be offered to whoever dies persisting in drinking wine.

Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Après l'association (Shirk), il y a le sperme éjaculé par un homme dans un utérus illicite. »5

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Next to polytheism (shirk), is the semen ejaculated by a man in an unlawful womb.”5

« Dans l'Enfer, il y a une vallée qui contient des serpents. Chaque serpent est aussi gros que le cou d'un chameau. »

"In the Hell-Fire there is a valley in which contains serpents. Each serpent is as fat as a camel's neck.

« Lorsqu'il pique celui qui ne prie pas, son venin bout dans sa demeure pendant soixante-dix ans, puis sa chair est arrachée. Il y a également une vallée appelée le puits de Hazan (souffrance) qui contient des serpents et des scorpions. Chaque scorpion est aussi énorme qu'une mule et possède soixante-dix épines. Chaque épine se termine par un tranchant venimeux. Ensuite, il frappe l'adultère et projette du venin dans son corps. L'adultère souffre de ce poison douloureux pendant mille ans. Puis sa chair est arrachée et du pus s'écoule de ses parties génitales. »6

When it stings the one who does not pray, it's poison boils in his abode for seventy years and then his flesh is torn out. There is also a valley called the well of Hazan (suffering) which contains serpents and scorpions. Each scorpion is as huge as a mule and has seventy spines. Each spine ends in a poisonous edge. Then, it strikes the adulterer and sprays poison in his body. The adulterer suffers from this painful poison for a thousand years. Then his flesh is torn out and pus flows from his genitals.”6

« Quiconque a des rapports charnels avec une femme mariée subira le châtiment qui est censé frapper la moitié de cette nation dans la tombe. Ensuite, au Jour de la Résurrection, Allah donnera à son mari, qui ne sait pas (ce qu'elle fait), le droit de disposer de ses bonnes actions. Mais s'il sait et ne fait rien, lui et sa femme seront privés du Paradis, car il y a une inscription sur la porte du Paradis qui dit : "Interdit au proxénète". »7

"Whoever makes love with a married woman, they will suffer the torture which is supposed to afflict half of this nation in grave. Afterwards, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will give her husband, who does not know (what she does), the right to dispose her good deeds. But if he knows and does nothing, he and his wife will be deprived of Paradise as there is a statement on the door of Paradise which reads, unlawful for the pimp.”7

« Quiconque touche une femme qui ne lui est pas licite par désir charnel, il sera ressuscité avec la main attachée au cou le Jour de la Résurrection. En cas de baiser, ses lèvres seront pincées dans le feu. Enfin, s'il tombe dans l'adultère, ses cuisses témoigneront contre lui, le Jour de la Résurrection, en disant : "J'ai menti sur une illicite". Ensuite, Allah le regardera avec colère. Ainsi, la chair de son visage tombera. S'il dit avec arrogance : "Je n'ai jamais fait cela", alors la langue témoignera en disant : "J'ai produit une parole illicite". La main dira également : "J'ai touché des choses illicites". Les yeux diront : "J'ai regardé l'illicite". Les jambes diront : "Vers des objets illicites j'ai marché". Enfin, l'organe génital dira : "J'ai pratiqué". Quant aux anges gardiens, l'un dira : "J'ai entendu", et un autre dira : "J'ai écrit", et finalement, Allah dira : "Je savais, mais Je l'ai couvert". »1

"Whoever touches a woman, who is not lawful to him, because of lust, he will be resurrected with his hand tied to his neck on the Day of Judgment. In case of kissing, his lips will be nipped in the fire. Eventually, if he fell in adultery, his thighs will witness against him, on the Day of Judgment by saying, "I lied on an unlawful" Then, Allah looks to him out of wrath. Thus, his face's flesh fells down. If he arrogantly says, "I never did so" Then the tongue witnesses by saying, 'I produced an unlawful utterance.' The hand also says, 'I touched unlawful things.' The eyes says' I looked to the unlawful.' The legs say:' To the unlawful objects did I walk' Finally, the genital says, 'I applied. ' As for the guardian angels, he says, 'I heard, and another says,'I wrote' eventually, Allah says, "I knew but concealed him.”1

Ensuite, Allah dit : « Ô anges ! Emportez-le pour le torturer. Mon courroux est sévère envers ceux qui ne éprouvent aucune pudeur envers Moi. » Ceci est démontré dans le Livre d'Allah, Exalté soit-Il :

Then, Allah says, "0 angels! Take him away to torture him. Severe is My wrath on those who are not shy from Me." This is shown in Allah's Book Exalted be He:

{Le jour où leur langue, leurs mains et leurs pieds témoigneront contre eux de ce qu'ils faisaient.} (AINur: 24).2

{On the Day when their tongue, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.} (AINur: 24).”2

La forme la plus grave d'adultère est l'inceste avec sa mère, sa sœur, sa belle-mère et ses proches avec qui le mariage est interdit.

The most grievous kind of adultery is incenstry with one's mother, sister, stepmother and unmarriageable relatives.

Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Quiconque commet l'adultère avec un parent avec lequel le mariage est interdit doit être mis à mort. »3

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Whoever falls into adultery with an unmarriageable relative, must be killed.”3

AI-Barra' a rapporté que le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a envoyé son oncle vers un homme qui avait eu des rapports avec sa belle-mère afin de le tuer et de diviser sa richesse en cinq parts (comme le butin de guerre).

AI-Barra' narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) sent his uncle to a man who made love with his step mother to kill him and divide his wealth into five parts (like the spoils of war.)

Par conséquent, nous demandons à Allah le Généreux de pardonner nos péchés, car Il est le Plus Généreux, le Plus Bienveillant.

Therefore, we ask Allah the Bounteous to forgive our sins for He is the Most Bounteous, the Most Kind.
