À moins que les ennemis ne soient deux fois plus nombreux que les musulmans, un musulman n'est pas autorisé à leur tourner le dos.

Unless enemies outnumber twofold of Muslims, a Muslim is not allowed to turn his back to them.

De même, à moins qu'il ne s'agisse d'une ruse de guerre ou d'un repli vers un groupe (le sien), il est également interdit à un musulman de fuir le champ de bataille. Allah le Tout-Puissant dit : {Si l'un d'entre eux leur tourne le dos en ce jour-là — à moins qu'il ne s'agisse d'une ruse de guerre ou d'un repli vers un groupe (le sien) — il attire sur lui la colère d'Allah, et sa demeure est l'Enfer, quelle mauvaise demeure (en vérité).} (Al-Anfal: 16)

Similarly, unless it is in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), a Muslim also is forbidden to flee from the battlefield. Allah the Almighty says, {1f any do turn hi; back to them on such a day -unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own) he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell, -an evil refuge (indeed).} (Al-Anfal: 16)

Abu Hurairah, qu’Allah l’agrée, a rapporté que le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Évitez les sept destructeurs. » Les auditeurs demandèrent : « Ô Messager d'Allah, que sont-elles ? » Il dit : « L'association (Shirk), la sorcellerie, le fait de tuer une âme qu'Allah a rendue sacrée si ce n'est en toute justice, la consommation de l'usure, l'appropriation des biens de l'orphelin, la fuite du champ de bataille et la calomnie des femmes croyantes et chastes qui ne s'attendraient pas à être accusées de fornication. » 1

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported the Prophet to have said, “Avoid the seven destroyers, The listeners asked: "0 Messenger of Allah what are they ? '! He said, ”Associating partners with Allah (shirk), sorcery, taking a life which Allah has made sacred except in the course of justice, devouring usury, appropriating the property of the orphan, fleeing from the battlefield and slandering chaste believing women who would not expect to be accused of adultery.” 1

Ibn Abbas, qu’Allah l’agrée, a dit : {Si vingt d'entre vous sont endurants et persévérants, ils vaincront deux cents.} (Al-Anfal: 65)

Ibn Abbas, May Allah be pleased with him, said, {When Allah revealed If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundreds.} (Al-Anfal: 65)

Il a prescrit qu'il n'est pas permis à vingt Musulmans de fuir devant deux cents ennemis. Mais, quand Allah a révélé : {Mais (même ainsi) il y a cent d'entre vous qui sont endurants et qui se préservent ; ils vaincront deux cents, et si ce sont mille, ils vaincront deux mille avec la permission d'Allah : car Allah est avec ceux qui sont endurants.} (Al-Anfal: 66)

He prescribed that it is not allowed for twenty Muslims to flee from two hundred of enemies. But, when Allah revealed, {But (even so) there are a hundred of you, patient and preserving, they will vanquish two hundred, and if a thousand, they vanquish two thousand, with the leave of Allah: for Allah is with those who patiently perseverer.} (AI-Anfal: 66)

« Allah a prescrit qu'il n'est pas permis à cent Musulmans de fuir face à deux cents. »2

Allah prescribed that it is not allowed for a hundred Muslims to flee from two hundred.”2
