All praise be to Allah. Noticing firsthand the passion Shaykh Mohammad Elshinawy had for the subject of this book, I knew its intellectual vigor would be mixed with the author’s passion to produce a masterpiece.

No hay tema que requiera nuestra atención y dedicación más que las pruebas de la profecía. En una época de incertidumbre, escepticismo y cinismo, nada es más importante que ayudar a las personas a construir la certeza en una verdad primordial: la profecía de Muhammad ﷺ. Es esa certeza la que les abrirá de par en par las puertas de la paz interior y la felicidad en esta vida y en la otra.

There is no subject I can think of that needs our attention and dedication more than the proofs of prophethood. In an age of uncertainty, skepticism, and cynicism, there is nothing more important than helping people build certainty in a most salient truth: the prophethood of Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). It is that certainty that will open wide for them the gates to inner peace and happiness in this life and the one to come.

El libro abarca una amplia variedad de pruebas, desde la necesidad histórica del envío del Profeta hasta el mayor de sus milagros: el Corán inigualable, sin descuidar su carácter, sus logros, su mensaje, sus profecías y sus milagros físicos ﷺ. Tiene la integridad académica necesaria sin la austeridad emocional. Es detallado, pero no superfluo.

The book covers a wide array of proofs from the historical necessity of the Prophet’s dispatchment to the greatest of his miracles—the inimitable Qur’an—without neglecting his character, accomplishments, message, prophecies, and physical miracles. It has the necessary academic integrity without its emotional austerity. It is detailed, yet not superfluous.

Ya sea que se dé más importancia al enfoque evidencialista o al naturalista respecto de la fe en Dios, las pruebas de la profecía deben ser una parte integral de la fe en el Islam. Un enfoque probabilístico que emplea el razonamiento inductivo no excluye la posibilidad de alcanzar la certeza a través de él. Si los argumentos son sólidos y abundantes, la certeza puede seguir alcanzándose. Luego, puede fundamentarse aún más con la experiencia espiritual y la iluminación.

Whether you place more importance on the evidentialist or naturalist approach to faith in God, the proofs of prophethood should be an integral part of faith in Islam. A probabilistic approach using inductive reasoning does not preclude the attainment of certainty through it. If the arguments are strong and plentiful, then certainty can still be achieved. It can then be further grounded by spiritual experience and enlightenment.

Además de la importancia del tema, también me produce gran satisfacción escribir el prólogo de este libro, por su autor, en quien tengo grandes expectativas, y espero que Allah lo utilice para servir a la causa del Islam en esta tierra y en todo el mundo.

In addition to the importance of the subject, I also find great pleasure in writing a foreword for this book because of its author of whom I have great expectations, and I hope that Allah will use him in serving the cause of Islam in this land and around the globe.
