La Sharía no se limita únicamente a los temas del divorcio o el matrimonio. Abarca la relación del ser humano con Allah (SWT), consigo mismo y con los demás. Además, incluye el método para aplicar estas normas, pues poner en práctica cualquier norma requiere conocer la situación, la norma y el método.

The Shari‟ah is not only limited to areas covering divorce or marriage. It covers Man‟s relationship with Allah (swt), with himself, and other people. In addition, to the method for applying these rules, implementing any rule requires having the knowledge of the situation, the rule and the method.

Por ejemplo, existe un principio general en el Islam según el cual la mano del ladrón debe ser cortada. Sin embargo, si una persona roba comida estando hambrienta, este principio general no se aplica en esta situación particular. Por ello, es obligatorio tener el conocimiento de cómo y cuándo aplicar una norma.

As an example, there is a general principle in Islam that a thief‟s hand should be cut off. However, if the individual steals food while hungry then this general principle is not applied in this particular situation. Hence, it is obligatory to have the knowledge of how and when to apply a rule.

Una mala aplicación de la Shari'ah consiste en aplicar las leyes islámicas relativas a los Hudud (castigos) mientras al mismo tiempo se implanta un sistema económico basado en el capitalismo. Las leyes islámicas relativas al castigo fueron reveladas para proteger la sociedad en la que se aplica el Islam. ¿Cómo pueden aplicarse las leyes islámicas relativas al castigo de manera simultánea con el capitalismo, que prospera explotando a las masas? ¿Cómo puede alguien justificar el castigo islámico de cortar la mano del ladrón cuando el ladrón está bajo la opresión del capitalismo?

A misapplication of the Shari‟ah is applying the Islamic laws related to Hudud (punishment) while at the same time implementing an economic system based on capitalism. Islamic laws related to punishment were revealed to protect the society in which Islam is being applied. How can the Islamic laws related to punishment be applied concurrently with capitalism, which thrives on exploiting the masses? How can anyone justify the Islamic punishment of cutting the hand of a thief while the thief is under the oppression of capitalism?

El castigo de cortar la mano del ladrón se basa en la protección de la sociedad donde el sistema islámico está en aplicación, un sistema que funciona para asegurar que las necesidades básicas de cada individuo en el Estado sean satisfechas.

The punishment of cutting off the hand of the thief is based upon protecting the society where the Islamic system is in application, a system which functions to see to it that the basic needs of every individual in the State are met.

La Shari‟ah no debe verse como una carga o un obstáculo en nuestras vidas, sino como una misericordia de Allah (swt). Estas leyes deben entenderse como parte del Din (un modo de vida integral) revelado por el Creador. Este Din exige la convicción de que el Islam es la única solución a nuestros problemas; procede de Allah (swt), quien nos creó y, por tanto, sabe lo que es mejor para nosotros.

The Shari‟ah should not be viewed as a burden or an obstacle in our lives; but rather, as a mercy from Allah (swt). These laws must be understood as part of the Deen (a comprehensive way of life) revealed by the Creator. This Deen requires a conviction that Islam is the only solution to our problems; it came from Allah (swt), who created us and thus knows what is best for us.

No hay ninguna razón para que no obedezcamos cualquier dictamen de Allah (swt). Como se mencionó anteriormente, seguimos las leyes islámicas simplemente porque provienen de Allah (swt), a diferencia de las leyes opresivas creadas por el hombre. En consecuencia, debemos sentirnos orgullosos, felices y agradecidos de que Allah (swt) nos haya mostrado el único camino correcto para obedecerle (swt).

There is no reason for us not to obey any ruling from Allah (swt). As mentioned earlier, we follow the Islamic laws just because they are from Allah (swt), in contrast to the oppressive man-made laws. Consequently, we should feel proud, happy, and grateful that Allah (swt) has shown us the only correct way to obey Him (swt).

El Islam es una unidad completa y estrechamente integrada que no puede aplicarse de forma parcial. La aplicación de las normas islámicas relacionadas con la economía requiere la aplicación de las normas de la Zakah, la Nafaqah y la Al-Jizyah, lo que a su vez implica la aplicación del sistema económico.

Islam is a complete and thoroughly integrated unit that cannot be implemented partially. The implementation of the Islamic rules related to the economy necessitates the implementation of the rules of Zakah, Nafaqah, and Al-Jizyah, which in turn means the implementation of the economic system.

La ejecución del sistema económico requiere la implementación conjunta de la 'Ibādah, el sistema social, las normas relativas a la Gente del Libro, la política exterior islámica y las normas relativas al Jalifa. El sistema islámico está interconectado; una parte facilita la implementación de la otra.

The execution of the economic system requires the implementation of the „„Ibadah, social system, rules related to the People of the Book, Islamic foreign policy, and rules related to the Khaleefah all together. The Islamic system is inter-connected; one part helps the implementation of the other part.

Implementar solo algunas partes del Islam y dejar otras da como resultado el caos, como se evidencia hoy. Por ejemplo, Allah (swt) ha permitido el divorcio para resolver un problema, pero hoy el divorcio mismo se ha convertido en un problema en lugar de una solución, debido a la mala aplicación de esta solución en particular y del Islam en general.

Implementing only parts of Islam and leaving others results in chaos is evident today. For instance, Allah (swt) has permitted divorce to solve a problem, but today divorce itself is a problem rather than a solution due to the misapplication of this particular solution and Islam in general.
