Alá, el Altísimo, dice: {Di: "¿Habéis visto? Si vuestra corriente se perdiera una mañana (bajo la tierra), ¿quién os proveería entonces de agua clara y fluyente?"} El Profeta ﷺ dijo: "No retengáis el agua sobrante para retener el pasto."1

Allah, Most High says, {Say, 'See ye? If your stream was lost one morning (in the underground), who then can supply you with clear flowing water?} The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Do not withhold excess water to withhold pasturage.”1

«Quien niegue a otros su excedente de agua o de pastos, Allah le negará Sus bendiciones el Día del Juicio.»2

"Whoever denies others his surplus water or pasturage, Allah shall deny him His blessings on the Day of Judgment.”2

"Hay tres personas a quienes Allah no hablará, ni mirará, ni absolverá el Día del Juicio, y que tendrán un castigo doloroso: el que retiene el agua sobrante de un viajero en el desierto, el que vende mercancía después del 'Asr (última hora de la tarde) jurando por Allah que la pagó más de lo que en realidad la pagó, y el hombre que presta juramento de lealtad a un gobernante solo por el interés de este mundo, y solo es leal si obtiene algo de esta vida mundana."3

"There are three people whom Allah will not speak to, look at, or exonerate on the Day of Judgment, and who will have a painful torment: he who withholds excess water from a traveler in the desert, he who sells merchandise after 'Asr (late afternoon) swearing by Allah that he paid more for it than he actually did, and a man who gives the pledge to a governor only for the sake of this world, and is only loyal if he gets something of this worldly life.”3

Al-Bukhari añade a la hadiz anterior lo siguiente: "Quien niegue a otros su agua sobrante, Allah le dirá: 'Hoy te negaré Mi favor, como tú lo hiciste con lo que no pudiste crear'". 4

Al-Bukhari adds to the above hadith the following, "Whoever denies others his surplus water, Allah will say to him, "Today J will deny you my bounty as you did with what you could not create.” 4
