اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: {اور زمین میں اکڑ کر نہ چل، بے شک اللہ کسی مغرور فخر کرنے والے کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔} (لقمان: 18)

Allah, the Almighty said, {Nor walk haughtily through the land: For Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.} (Luqman: 18)

نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا، "مسلمان کا وہ لباس جو ٹخنوں سے نیچے ہو، وہ جہنم میں ہوگا۔"1

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Any part of the caftan of the Muslim below the anklebones is in Hell.”1

انہوں نے ﷺ فرمایا، "اللہ تعالیٰ اس شخص کی طرف نہیں دیکھے گا جو تکبر کے ساتھ اپنے کپڑے کو گھسیٹتا ہے۔"2

He, (pbuh) said, "Allah will not look at the one who haughtily drags his garment.”2

نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا، "تین شخص ایسے ہیں جن سے اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن کلام نہیں کرے گا، نہ ہی ان کی طرف دیکھے گا اور نہ ہی ان کی براءت (پاکیزگی) قبول کرے گا، اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے: وہ شخص جو تکبر کی وجہ سے اپنے لباس کا پalla (کنارہ) نیچے لٹکائے، وہ جو اپنی خیرات کا احسان یاد دلائے، اور وہ جو مال بیچتے وقت جھوٹی قسم کھائے کہ اس نے اسے اس سے زیادہ قیمت پر خریدا ہے جتنی اس نے حقیقت میں ادا کی تھی۔"3

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "There are three people whom Allah will not speak to, look at, or exonerate on the day of judgment, and who will have a painful torment: he who wears the hem of his garment low (out of pride), he who reminds recipients of his charity to them, and he who sells merchandise swearing that he paid more for it than he actually did.”3

ایک دوسری روایت میں منقول ہے کہ، "جب ایک شخص نئے کپڑے پہنے، اکڑ کر چل رہا تھا، خود پسندی کے عالم میں تھا اور اس کے بال سنوارے ہوئے تھے، تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے زمین کو اسے نگلنے کا حکم دیا اور وہ قیامت تک دھنستا رہے گا۔"4

In another narration, it is reported that, "While a man was walking along in a new set of clothes, with a swagger to his step, pleased with himself and his hair combed down, Allah caused the earth to swallow him and he will keep sinking until the last day.”4

نبی کریم ﷺ سے روایت ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "جو شخص تکبر کی وجہ سے اپنا لباس گھسیٹتا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن اس کی طرف نظر نہیں فرمائے گا۔"5

The Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said, "He who, out of pride, drags his garment, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Judgment.”5

نبی کریم ﷺ سے یہ بھی روایت ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "کپڑے، قمیض اور عمامہ کو گھسیٹنا (تکبر کے طور پر) شامل ہے۔ جو شخص تکبر کی وجہ سے ان میں سے کسی کو بھی گھسیٹے گا، اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن اس کی طرف نظر نہیں فرمائے گا۔"6

The Prophet (pbuh) is also reported to have said, "D ragging applies to one's garment, shirt and turban. He who, out of pride, drags any of them, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Judgment.”6

نبی کریم ﷺ سے یہ بھی روایت ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "مسلمان کا جبہ پنڈلی کے درمیان تک ہونا چاہیے، اس اور ٹخنوں کے درمیان میں کوئی حرج نہیں، لیکن ٹخنوں سے نیچے کا حصہ جہنم میں ہے۔"7

The Prophet (pbuh) is also reported to have said, "The caftan of the Muslim comes down to mid calf, there being no harm in what is between this and the ankle bones, though any of it below the ankle bones is in Hell.”7

یہ حکم تمام قسم کے لباس پر لاگو ہوتا ہے۔ پس ہم اللہ تعالیٰ سے سلامتی کا سوال کرتے ہیں۔ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا، "ایک شخص نماز پڑھ رہا تھا اور اپنا لباس زمین پر گھسیٹ رہا تھا، تو اللہ کے نبی ﷺ نے اس سے فرمایا، 'جاؤ اور دوبارہ وضو کرو'۔ وہ گیا اور وضو کر کے واپس آیا۔ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا، 'جاؤ اور دوبارہ وضو کرو'۔ ایک شخص نے پوچھا، اے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ، آپ نے اسے دوبارہ وضو کرنے کا حکم کیوں دیا؟ نبی ﷺ کچھ دیر خاموش رہے، پھر فرمایا، 'وہ اپنا لباس زمین پر گھسیٹتے ہوئے نماز پڑھ رہا تھا، اور اللہ ایسے شخص کی نماز قبول نہیں فرماتا'۔ 1

This judgment applies to all kinds of clothing. So, we ask Allah for safety. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "While a man was praying, dragging his garment on the ground, the Prophet of Allah said to him, "Go and make Wudu' (ablution) again" he went and made ablution and came. The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Go and make Wudu' again.” A man asked, 0 Messenger of Allah, why did you order him to renew his Wudu'? The Prophet (pbuh) kept silent for a while, then he said, "He was praying while letting his garment to reach the ground, and Allah does not accept the prayer of such a person.” 1

جب اللہ کے رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ "جو شخص تکبر کی وجہ سے اپنے لباس کا پalla (کنارہ) زمین پر گھسیٹے گا، اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی طرف نہیں دیکھے گا"، تو ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا، "اے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ! میرا لباس تو ہمیشہ زمین پر گھستا رہتا ہے جب تک کہ میں اسے تھام نہ لوں۔" اللہ کے رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا، "تم ان لوگوں میں سے نہیں ہو جو یہ کام تکبر کی وجہ سے کرتے ہیں۔"2

When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said that, "Whoever lets the hem of his garment drag on the ground out of pride, Allah will not look at him", Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "0 Messenger of Allah my garment is always dragging on the ground unless I restrain it. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "You are not one of those who do it out of pride.”2
